Did exactly what it was intended to do. Bought it to allow a little bit more room over the dash and a little below the dash's edge so to make less obstruction of the dash cam, or the Car Play monitor kit. The two mounting adapters, that typically ship with most Car Play kits , both have limited movement.

I permanently attached this to my trucks dash area with screws and it’s great. It fit my magnetic phone attachment perfectly and holds everything extremely tight. The only down side is that the black paint has chip slightly in a few spots so I’d recommend adjusting it to where you want it and leave it alone. Mine hasn’t chipped since fiddling with it and it still looks great. If you know you’re going to keep a vehicle for a long time just buy this and be done with messing with plastic garbage.
