Dewalt Atomic Compact Series Push And Flip Folding Utility Knife

Really like this utility knife. It’s slightly more compact than my DWHT10992 and just as handy. Overall very nice design and easy to carry. Blade retention/change very good. The wire clip and button lock are also great (although I like the button lock on the larger version a bit better).

I own red, yellow and blue tools so not a hater however I do love the red knife design better since this yellow one has to be flipped when naturally taking it off the club to be opened.. on my pic you can see the clip is opposite of the red one.

Been going thru several edc razor knives. Milwaukee, fiskars, and a few others. This Dewalt is the best for all around comfort and ease of use. If you are using the clip and like to tip up carry, then this knife is for you.

How much I don't like thee, let me count the ways? 1) It is very slippery and there isn't any texture for a secure grip. 2) Very difficult to open, instead of a normal lock back lever a button, on the side near the top hinge is a silver colored button that must be depressed in to unlock the blade holder. 3) There isn't an alternative to the release button like a knob or anything to grab ahold of to pull out the blade holder, I must grab the small amount of blade holder showing with my fingers to pull out the blade holder. The likes? It is small and lightweight, it includes a small bent wire pocket clip, and a plastic lanyard loop at the back end. The top of the knife has a nice knurled surface for the thumb to grasp to prevent slipping off and a finger notch on the bottom for the index finger to grasp. My previous pocket lock back was from Lowe's 19 years ago made of steel and aluminum and cost way less than this DeWalt version, and I lost it. I am not impressed at all and I can't recommend this pocket razor knife to anyone and in fact don't buy it look else where.
