Great Beginner Poi
LOOK:On the top of the Poi there is one button which cycles the poi through the following order - Multi-Color Strobe, Multi-Color Morph, Solid Purple, Blinking Red, Blinking Green, Blinking Blue, OFF. The lanyard comes attached and can be adjusted to be 20 inches in length, but starts around 15 inches. On the other end of the lanyard there are two finger loops so you can hold the Poi without fear of losing grip. The Poi themselves do look like the picture with the exception that there is no mode that can create several distinct colors at the same time. At least not without the inclusion of a psychotropic, which is not included with the Poi. They are packed well, making it hard to damage the product in transit. Each poi is wrapped in a small plastic bag and comes in its own small box. Then the two boxes are placed in a slightly larger shipping box. I received my Poi from FlashingBlinkyLights Inc.FEEL:These are really great poi to learn with. The exterior shell is a very soft malleable pvc material which shields you from any bruising while you work out what you are doing. I'd recommend watching a few YouTube tutorials to get up to speed. The finger looks are made of nylon and seem comfortable for limited use.SPECIFIC:They Come with 3xLR44 batteries inside with a plastic slip inserted so the batteries don't drain while in storage. The batteries are secured with a plastic cover held in place with a small Phillips screw driver. This means you will need a screw driver to replace the batteries should they suddenly die. The LED housing is made in China and is glued to the soft white PVC shell. Overall the Poi seem well made, there is no excessive gluing on around the seams and the lanyard is of sturdy material. I'd say the weakest point would be the clasp that joins the lanyard to the loop that fastens to the poi, and should it break it could be easily replaced with a trip to Michael's.CONCLUSION:I would say these are a great cheap beginner poi. At around $20 with shipping you will be hard pressed to find a better pair. They should last until you graduate to a more expensive model or until the novelty wears off and you leave them in a draw.

Not bad for the price!
I have a more expensive version of these poi orbs and my son who’s 27 tried them out and easily made his own movements. When he was quarantined with Covid, I purchased this slightly cheaper toy which kept him entertained by himself for a couple of weeks. I was impressed that these were lighter and softer than mine, which mine can leave a nasty welting bruise on my shin! My granddaughters can even play with these without injuries!P.S. My son had mild symptoms and was back to work upon testing negative for Covid-19

This is a nice entry level set of poi balls
This is a fun set of poi balls, the lights work great and the balls are soft so you can't really do much damage to yourself if your poi trick gets out of control. I like this set for practicing new tricks because the balls are soft yet have a good weight for spinning. Great value for the price.

Bright, soft and safe for beginners or kids, but really needs an on/switch
I purchased these as I needed some sort of prop for a fabulous birthday dance routine I had orchestrated for my husband. (Apparently the use of Roman Candles and sparklers were not considered “a wise life decision” to use as the routine was going to be indoors. Bummer.)So I purchased these poi balls in the hopes they would add some flair and pizazz to the dance. Sadly, I couldn’t use them. They turned on just fine, but you literally have to press the little black button several times to go through the various colors- and in order to turn them off, you had to cycle through all the colors (which means pushing the buttons numerous times, before the balls will turn off. This would’ve been an issue as I just wanted them to be on for a minute or so, then be able to switch them right off. I would’ve had to struggle with repeatedly pushing the button on each ball, in a dark room, in order to turn them off.The struggle would’ve been real and super inconvenient, not to mention it would significantly interrupt the “flow” of the routine. These balls do feature a place for an on/off switch (look closely at the images posted) but either my set was defective and the switch should’ve been there, but wasn’t... or this set just doesn’t come with an on/off switch, though the place for it is clearly already on each ball. The balls are soft and the ropes they come on are soft and flexible. I imagine they’d be perfect for a beginner or for kids, as getting smacked by one would not inflict any pain or injuries. The lights are bright, but again, you have to stop using them to push the tiny black button in order to change colors and turn off.Overall, they are a decent product and would be fun for kids or a new user... but they did not accommodate my needs.

Cool lights and soft
Great for just messing around with, the finger handles make them easy to use and it’s got multiple light settings

Worthless
Received with one of them already broken. They are not good quality. They’re using the cheapest stuff possible to make this. Do not waste your money
