Great Bluetooth speaker not soundbar
This works really well as a Bluetooth speaker with great bass. I can't connect it to my smart TV without buying an extra cord.. I think? I got it as a soundboard but ended up not being able to connect it.

Nice speaker & nice looking design. Lacks a handle. Has some weight to it.
This is a new looking speaker that sounds pretty good for only being 50 Watts. So remember it has its limitations.Sound quality is pretty clean and offers some good clarity for the category it's its in ..When played at max volume with music that is rich or deep in bass it has a tendency to muddy up at max volume...If you lower it down to around 80 percent volume with that kind of music ( bass heavy) it helps take the muddying or should I saw distortion away...Different styles of music sound different on the speaker at some style of music shine with this speaker and others not Soo.So it's really hard to say that this is a go to Bluetooth speaker to play all types of music perfectly because it will not. Some styles of music sound better then others .But generally speaking it does a pretty good job in clean clear sound with some bass being present ( as long as it's not heavy bass).Overall it's a nice speaker that doesn't a good job and has some weight to it too.I haven't tried this a surround sound speaker, but it think that it would do well too considering it has some clean highs, good mids and some bass that is present, but not bass to shake the floor or wall like a dedicated subwoofer...Push down on Volume control to turn speaker on and turn dial up or down to increase or decrease volume...Bluetooth connectivity was easy to connect...I wish it had either a handle or a dedicated cutout to handle the speaker easier with one hand. It's a bit hard to handle with one hand cause of its weight and because of the bass reflex ( what looks like a speaker in the back) when you pick up speaker with one hand your Fingers dig into the bass reflex speaker in the back & you have to in order to get a grip on the speaker because there's no dedicated way or easier way to grab it and I wonder if I would puncture it by doing that ..

It's a keeper.
Good quality sound considering the price- good looking, links to bluetooth with ease, controls functional/easy. Perfect addition to the kitchen with plenty enough sound for that space. Had it a month- so waiting to determine the next important factor: Durability- how well will it hold up over time?

One of the best Doss speakers I've heard
Note: I got the black but this review applies to all colors.I've owned a listened to a lot of Doss speakers over the past few years. They always sound pretty good, pack a lot of nice features but sometimes come up a bit short, in terms of sound, to their more expensive competition. Let's dig into that.Let me start off by saying that to date, this is my most favorite Doss speaker that I've had. It looks really nice with the bamboo front, exposed mid woofers and grille cloth on the back and sides. It has a 3.5mm aux-in (love that this is still included), USB-C charging port, USB-A port for external charging of a device and an optical coax input (for a CD player or such). The aluminum on/off/volume knob on the top is a nice touch and goes with the aesthetic of the speaker. There are standard push buttons for bluetooth pairing, track forward/back, input mode, etc. It's definitely not a rubber-coated beach party speaker and kudos to Doss for making a nice looking speaker for the home environment. The sound is really good, probably the best Doss has done to date. It has a true left/right channel as verified by a L/R channel test and a passive radiator on the rear to enhance the low end. It'll play a 40Hz test track and it's somewhat audible but not really accurate, but the refined bass really starts at around 50Hz or so. The speaker seems to be filled with quality drivers and amps and the enclosure does a good job keeping everything from sounding "tinny", so to speak. It a nice and heavy solid chunk, so to speak. However, you need to turn the sound up to really get good quality sound from it. At low volumes, the bass and fullness just is not there. I am not sure why there's no X-Bass button that acts as a pseudo loudness button for low-level listening or why there's no EQ settings and/or a Doss app to adjust sound settings. I'm certainly not a fan of having to only use an app to adjust a speaker, but if the app allowed certain unique functions to be adjusted or enhanced I think this speaker could benefit from that. Otherwise, this speaker has the typical Doss sound profile....not so good at lower volumes but it'll come alive when turned up a bit. But not everyone can crank a speaker and sometimes just want nice sounding background music to play. When turned up though it is a nice "warm" and pleasing sound. If you are a bass head this speaker will only display its ability to play bass if you run a bass heavy song through it. Still, it's more about accurate bass and less about "thump" and will get a bit sloppy if pushed hard. Also, the arrangement of the drivers bother me. Why are the tweeters inboard of the woofers? To get a larger soundstage the tweeters are typically to the outside of the woofers. There's plenty of room on the face to have done this so I'm not sure why the tweeters are situated like this. There is a stereo soundstage, but it's not huge. Once you move off-axis the sound dissipates a bit. That seems like a lot of nitpicking, but for a $150 speaker, I'm not too sure of anything available that'll compete with this on both looks and sound. Maybe sound, but certainly not both. I'm only giving it 4 out of 5 stars and that's due to the fact that there's no way to adjust the sound profile. If you could, then this speaker would be an absolute home run. But I still highly recommend it as the looks and build quality are fantastic, the drivers are of high quality and the sound is very good and you get all of that for around $150.
