A well crafted wall clock. Looks very nice in the kitchen. And it keeps time very well. The directions indicate it needs 1 battery in fact it requires 2 . No problem figuring that out. I do recommend this product.

Let me start by saying I had the same issue many 1-star reviewers had - I put in the batteries and only the pendulum swung. The hands did not move (and were not bound up). I was very disappointed.The poorly written instructions recommend using "just 1 AA Carbon Zinc or Heavy Duty battery, not Alkaline battery." To clarify, it takes 2 batteries. We liked the looks of the clock so much, we were willing to spend another $3.99 at Amazon to get the right batteries (link below).When I installed the batteries the next day, I noticed that the installation requires them to both point in the same direction (oftentimes, batteries are installed in opposing directions - which is what I had done the previous day). With the correct battery and the correct installation, the clock has worked accurately for the past week.I give this clock 5 stars for it's cool looks but take a star away for the battery debacle (in hindsight, it does actually say right on the web page to use this type of battery - but maybe they could include "don't use Alkaline" on the website too because how many people know what type of AA battery they have in their junk drawers? More and more clocks these days are requiring 'carbon' batteries, instead of alkaline. This clock was no exception. it's really hard finding a normal clock that takes alkaline batteries anymore! Ya have to be really careful when ordering! I bought special batteries for this one (it takes two for the pendulum to work), and it's beautiful on my office wall, but the battery issue is one you'll have to pay close attention to.

I measured the space and decided on size of clock before I began my search. The seller's picture almost made me pass this one up until I read the size. Tapped the provided hook (I wish I could buy these alone) into the wall, released the pendulum arm and placed the batteries. The quality is outstanding and it makes a very nice statement!

I love the way this looks. However the clock will not keep time. We have tried everything. It works for about an hour and stops again.
