Works ok on our laser cutter.
For the price It works pretty good but the odor of burnt wood still passes through the filter. I added a sheet of activated carbon filter to the filter stack and that eliminated most of the odors.

Smoke hider would be a better description
First the good, it DOES move an incredible amount of air even at low settings and the noise level is actually a bit quieter than i expected it to be. thew unit is heavy and feels well built. i had high hopes.Thats about it for the good. Onto the bad.If you have an EXTREMELY large space, this machine might do ok at atleast making the smoke not visible, but dont expect it to actually help the air quality AT ALL even though it states "99.97%" purification rate.In summary, i have a Creality Falcon2 Pro 40w diode laser, since i didnt have a very reasonable way to vent it out a window i hoped this would atleast make it tolerable to use in the fairly large room i have it setup in (13X28FT with 9ft ceilings). boy was i wrong!Ran one job that was only about 15 minutes total, with the air filter set to 75% power, the room has been uninhabitable for 2 days since. immediately after the job was done the smell in the room from the fumes of the laser were migraine inducing, my eyes have been burning from being in the room even for brief amounts of time until today.Save yourself the money, this unit does nothing to create a "better environment". other units from other brands may do better, but after trying this "new product" with zero reviews on a whim, im rearranging my entire setup so it can be vented outside entirely and for much less money spent to keep a useable work environment.product has already been sent back to amazon for a return after one use.

Somewhat Disappointed
I have a Creality Falcon 2 laser/engraver, and I thought this would be the best way to go, but unfortunately, it really doesn’t extract as many fumes as it leads you to believe for the costly price.

Useless for odor control
UPDATE 11/24/24Since I finally received my laser cutter engraver I was able to put this purifier through a real test. As I was getting the hang of the engraver I decided to start with using paper since it is cheaper than going through sheets of basswood. While I am sure the 3-stage filter eliminates particles from the air, it does not appear to be doing much to eliminate smells. Can’t even imagine when I start doing big projects on wood, etc.As such I will be putting this on on the shelf and order some 3” hose to connect to my shop exhaust fan, I realize I will be sucking out heated air but that just how it’s going to have to be.ORIGINAL REVIEWI ordered this unit as part of a promotional sale with the laser engraver. Initially I hadn’t given any thought to the potential smells and fumes coming from the engraver and don’t think I would have spent $600 for this unit, but the promo made it too difficult to pass up.Still waiting on my engraver but I did a few tests with this in the meantime.First off all, the speed control is great, infinite settings, no preset speeds, just dial it up to whatever you need.On low the unit consumes 17W and produces about 50 dB at 6 ft.Turn it all the way up and it takes the full 180W with a noise level of 70 dBInlet at the top of the box as you can see and exhaust happens through the louvre openings at the bottom of the box.Once you place your hand on the intake at full speed you will notice that the system creates a fair amount of static pressure, in other words it is fairly strong for a little box like this. The three stage filter system is compact, the charcoal element takes up about 2/3 of the space and the rest is for the 2nd stage HEPA filter and the cotton pre-filter.The filters come pre-installed with 4 additional pre-filters.A replacement set of filters from this company runs you about $ 100.How long will the filters last? That will largely depend on what you put through and how often you perform some routine maintenance. As mentioned before I have not been able to put it through a full test with the engraver yet but on its own the unit is clean and compact.I took one of the pictures next to my desk chair to give you a reference of its size, the other one next to my crosscut shredder.
