Nice product, actually very useful.
Instead of buying any other thing to sharp the knives, I really liked this product.Just soak it in water for sometime and then sharpen your knife on proper angle.

AMAZING!!
AMAZING!!!!AMAZING!!!! AMAZING!!!!! AMAZING!!! (Tips included)Guys dont give a second thought, just go for it! I had purchased a useless Bergner knife set Bergner Knife Set, 8-Pieces which came with very blunt knives. So I had to but another Rena Germany Chef's knife Rena Germany - Knife - Chef'S Knives - Black Color - Stainless Steel - 210 Mm from amazon to go about my work. This knife was sharp as hell. Now my stone arrived yesterday and I honed my Bergner knives with it and trust me, they are as sharp as the Rena Germany knife, actually even sharper. It's a must have for your kitchen. It's surprising how low priced it is.Before using this stone, I suggest you watch some videos on Youtube about using combination stones.Tips1. before sharpening immerse the stone in water and keep it that way until the bubbles stop coming out of stone2. If you choose to use oil once,(for lubricating) always use oil and same with water. DO NOT SWITCH between oil and water.3. This stone comes with a double grit. For coarse honing (if your knife is too blunt), use the dark green surface. For getting the fine edge use the lighter green surface where the logo is printed.4.The packet recommends you to keep a 30° angle, but i personally prefer keeping a 20° to 25° angle for European style knives.Feel free to ask me about anything related to using this amazing stone. Happy Coocking!!! :)

Does the job well enough
I used to use a variety of knife sharpeners - both automatic and manual models, but soon noticed that they were ruining the cutting edges of my knives. Deciding that there was no shortcut to getting and maintaining a good, sharp edge I purchased this - chiefly because this was one of the cheapest models available. This is not a imported fancy water stone or diamond sharpener (which can cost upwards of Rs.2000) but is made of Silicon Carbide and is labelled "for Industrial use". The stone has two surfaces - coarse and fine. The grit numbers are not mentioned but I estimate them to be around 120 (coarse side) and 240 (fine side). It's not mentioned anywhere on the packaging, but this stone is best used with water as a lubricant. Some recommend that the stone be immersed in water for at least 15 minutes before use, but I soak it for about a minute and don't see much of a difference. Just remember to keep the surface wet as you sharpen the blade.
