Cute but there’s better options
Not as loud as I would like and the bass doesn’t really go very hard. I have to charge quite a bit because the batteries die fast. Super cute though.

Nice attractive "retro" look, sounds good as well
I've already reviewed a different color version of this radio but here's one for the retro wooden version.Let's start with the things that I like:- Appearance. I like the fact that it isn't completely plastic or rubber coated like 99% of the bluetooth speakers on the market. It is vinyl wrapped, but the vinyl wraps proper MDF (which is a great material for speaker cabinets). This should also give it slightly better acoustics, which it seems to. Has a nice retro look to it and it doesn't have any gimmicky LED lights that randomly flash at you. It fits into a decor pretty easily without being noticed, which I like.- Stereo sound. It has two drivers in it for a legit Left and Right Stereo channel. I verified this with a Right/Left sound test. Granted, the drivers are close together since this is a small-ish unit, but the stereo sound is appreciated vs. a lot of other units that went mono in this form factor (the majority of Bose and JBL now).- Operation is simple. Bluetooth paired easily and the buttons on the front are nice to push (rather than having to hunt for mostly illegible buttons covered in rubber like most bluetooth speakers). It reminds me of an old cassette deck, which is good.- 3.5mm input and SD card slot. Both are nice features that sadly a lot of speakers are phasing out. That means you can directly hook a tuner to it, record player (with phono preamp), CD player, PC, etc.- Packaged well and in an attractive box.On to the sound:It sounds good and certainly a lot better than most speakers under $50. In the $100 category, this one equals others that I have heard but does not necessarily eclipse them. It has a nice warm-ish tone to it and should not fatigue you if listening to it for extended periods. Bass is nice, but they advertise that the low-end response only goes down to 70Hz, which I agree with. It seems to have a slight boost in the 80-100Hz range, which is nice. For a speaker of this size that's about what I'd expect. If this were a larger form-factor it'd probably dig a little deeper, but for the size it does well. They advertise a class D amp @ up to 35WPC and it certainly sounds like it has some power behind the volume.I can't really find any major faults with it. It's only USB 5.0, but if you are using Spotify or Pandora this provides enough bandwidth for their HQ settings right now. On a little bluetooth speaker like this I doubt you'd notice a difference between a lossless file and a 320kbps mp3 anyways.Overall I like the speaker and if this fits your interior aesthetic it'd be a good one. While the sound is on-par with others in the price category the little touches like the MDF enclosure, rubber feet and the nice push buttons on the front make this a unique and interesting choice. I'm glad companies are making decent looking "home" bluetooth speakers rather than the typical waterproof rubber and plastic fare. Not everyone wants a speaker for a beach party; a lot of these go into a kitchen or dining room and people want them to fit the typical home decor (as this one does). Sometimes speakers should blend into the area, not stand out with flashing LEDs and rubber coating.

Gorgeous packaging and aesthetics, middling sound
These were packaged incredibly well, and they looked gorgeous on my desk. Unfortunately, the sound was just not worth the cost. It was lacking warmth in the middle and any semblance of bass. My JBL Go 3 has better overall dynamic range (which is not to say those are fantastic speakers, but they're less than 1/4 of the size and about 1/3 of the cost full price.) Wanted to love these, but they're going back.

Great sound from a small footprint
With just about all music being "stored" on digital devices, the single thing that nearly every digital device has in common, is terrible sound. Both volume and range is terrible on computers, phones, iPads, and so on. Have used headphones for better quality and higher volumes, but they tend to block out the outside world, plus, only one person at a time gets to enjoy my music! This portable speaker is a dramatic, very affordable, improvement. Easily fills a large room with sound. Small size lets it sit just about anywhere. Excellent Bluetooth range. Easy to operate buttons on front of device. The rechargeable batteries (included with device) make this truly portable. A charge lasts for hours.Overall, a very nicely constructed speaker(s). The wooden case is a classy touch.

Sound is Fine if a Little Quiet - Would Love to Disable the Power Save Feature
The sound of this speaker is fine at least for my use which is hooking it up to my computer as a computer speaker. My issue is that if no sound is played for a few minutes it goes into standby mode and then the next time a sound is played there's a fairly loud/distracting pop noise as the speaker exits standby mode.
