Don’t bother.
Spring in launcher broke within hours. We were able to still play with it a while longer by hand winding the rip cord, but it eventually jammed up. And the LED lights on the flying disc stopped working. Pretty much a dollar store toy selling for seven dollars too much.

Fun for a hour
Fun for a bit, it was cheap, it glows in the dark, it got lost fast. Its glowing in someone's yard, but at least the kids liked it for the few pulls it provided.

Meh, Not Impressed
Much smaller than you’d expect after seeing the “photos” in its Amazon listing. I’m sure this disc launcher started out as a great idea – especially the red LED that operates on a centrifugal switch. Unfortunately, the disc launcher I received just barely wanted to fly. I yanked the string as hard as I dared, and the disc would just barely lift up off the launcher. If I lightened the disc by removing the battery and LED, I’ll bet it would fly better, but then it would not be as cool as it’s supposed to be. So, instead I’ve pushed on the three plastic blades in an effort to increase their angle of attack, and that helped a bit. However, the underlying problem with the launcher is that there’s no way for the pull string to evenly rewind. After each pull, the string piles up on itself as it rewinds and eventually clogs up the spool and stops rewinding – giving you a less than full pull on the next launch. When I have the patience, I’ll try replacing the pull string that came with the launcher with an equal length of some much finer braided fishing line that shouldn’t bunch up like the original pull string does. Wish me luck. The good news is that there are some really nice disc launchers available on Amazon (for a few dollars more). The bad news is that this launcher is not one of them.

Looks pretty cool at night
This toy worked pretty well. It's cheaply made but for the price it is worth it for the fun it gives. It looks pretty cool glowing at night; kind of surreal. I'm thinking that a bit of spray lubricant in the pull mechanism might make it work smoother and last longer. This would make a nice gift for kids, such as in classroom gift exchange.
