CHERRY Stream Keyboard, Wired Keyboard, UK Layout (QWERTY), Whisper Quiet Keystroke, Unique Typing Feel, Flat Design, Black

I've been a happy user of Cherry's Stream keyboard for the last 20 years, having just started on my fourth one. Each one has lasted about 5-6 years of heavy usage (which is standard/good for a membrane keyboard).As a someone who spends much of my day typing, and doing a lot of Zoom calls and podcast interviews, the quietness of the keyboard is very important.I'm also a fan of the low-profile scissor-switch style keys - similar to a laptop - and the touch & feel of the keys provide a smooth comfortable and quiet typing experience.They've slightly changed the multimedia buttons on the latest version, and changed from blue LEDs to red, but the typing experience hasn't changed. You can see the new & old versions at the top and bottom of the attached photo.I highly recommend the Cherry brand for keyboards, and this specific model, the Stream keyboard to anyone who need a quiet keyboard. (I haven't received any incentives to post this review, I'm just a big fan and simply wouldn't buy any other keyboard).

I bought two of these to use on my works PCs, and have been extremely happy with them.I admit to preferring proper mechanical keyboards, but I was looking for a cheap alternative that didn't feel mushy, and these have fitted the bill perfectly.I find them comfortable to type on, key travel is not too mar, and the feeling from them is responsive. The indication lights are shown on the keys themselves in a pleasing shade of red. There are some shortcut keys, including a very handy 'lock' key, especially when using in a work environment. There are no macro keys to speak of, so I probably wouldn't use this for gaming, but for typing, it's fine. The profile is very flat, so might not be to everyone's taste, and the keys have started to become shiny after moderate use, so that might be something to consider. Overall, I can see me using these keyboards for years to come

While this Cherry keyboard is made in China (to my disappointment), the quality is what I would expect from the brand. It sits very comfortably on the desk and the keystrokes are pleasant to the touch and *quiet*. Overall, a wonderful keyboard at a low price.

I usually purchase Microsoft or Logitech keyboards. My office keyboard was Logitech, about 5 years old. It was nice and compact and easy to type with.This one is a real step up, it is hefty, good quality and a dream to type on. I have noticed that the noise is significantly less noticeable and my speed is probably faster.I am not bothered with the extra "stream" buttons as I don't use them.

COSTS A BIT MORE BUT WORTH IT. SHAME THE DELIVERY DRIVER DIDN'T SHARE THE SAME FEELINGS. DUMPING IT DOWN ON THE PATH INSTEAD OF PUTTING IN OUR PARCEL BOX AS REQUESTED. A BIT SLOWER AND HE WOULD HAVE HIT THE WIFE IN THE FOOT ...........
