Flakey internal parts !!!
The media could not be loaded. I have tried two of these and they both made pop noise internally and locked up!!! They seem to look fine and well made but they are not!!!

common sense.
If you hook everything up and put it into forward and it goes backwards, then you shouldn't be working on boats or anything mechanical for that matter. When you hook up the cables, you have the cover off and you can clearly see the mechanism in action. If you don't stop and see what your motor wants it to do for forward gear, then you just don't need to be your own mechanic. You need to hire a professional at that point.

Direct fit
This control box was a direct fit for my 2013 Evinrude 30HP E-tec. the color wires were the same. worked perfect for my trim system and for starting the engine. all I had to buy was some Deutsch connectors to adapt to the wiring come form the boat. overall took me about 20 minutes to get the control box wired, crimped, and installed on the boat.also the construction is all aluminum. very sturdy product
