I found this small but sturdy compact voice recorder excellent. I have used it to actually record impotent telephone conversations with my mobile on speaker and actually very impressed

You get what you pay for. Records well but not easy to work out which recording is which

The sound quality is crystal clear, making every playback a pleasure rather than a chore.It’s incredibly portable. I can slip it into my pocket and forget it’s there – until I need it. Helterfolg 32GB Dictaphone Voice Recorder, USB Rechargeable Tape Recorder with Playback, Portable Sound Recorder with Multifunctional Digital Audio & MP3 Play(Black)Although this little voice recorder/MP3 player looks and feels a little cheap from it's all plastic construction it's at least nice and compact and works well.Measuring just 8 x 3cm with a thickness of just 1cm, this is truly a pocket friendly gadget.There's a very comprehensive manual which actually makes this recorder seem trickier to use than it actually is.The button functions are handily printed on the back of the player for easy reference, which is very useful.Voice recording is a simple one button affair and playback is as simple too.The results are decent enough from the tiny microphones and various bitrates can be set via the preferences.The small LCD screen is not the easiest to read but does contain plenty of useful information regarding the mode you're using.There is a very small built in speaker which is adequate for the size of this thing but you'll obviously get more from the sound using wired headphones.. but not the included ones as they're pretty poor to be honest. But at least it comes with some.A couple of nice extras is the inclusion of a wired clip on mic and a gadget that allows you to record telephone calls.Another feature being pushed for this voice recorder is MP3 playback. Ok, it's not the best for this but there are plenty of the usual playback options and an equalizer.MP3's sound decent enough and the 32gb storage space is plenty to load up thousands of songs.As a voice recorder its certainly decent enough. The results are good and the preference allow loads of options such as auto recording, a timer and even a password system to prevent unwanted access to your files.The addition of the MP3 player is a nice bonus to have as is the inclusion of the extra gadgets.The whole player is rechargeable and as there are no moving parts a full charge seems to last forever.It's very little money for a decent gadget that you can take everywhere and is really useful to have.
