This brush works great on my 50/50 Pyrenees/Aussie mix, who sheds as much as 2 dogs combined. Just brush like normal until the bristles are filled up, push the button to retract the bristles, and the hair can be simply wiped off. It is kinda cool watching the fur go poof after they are retracted. Push the button again to extend the bristles. There are small, rounded protectors at the tip of each bristle to make brushing more comfortable for the dog. Highly recommended.

I'm very happy with this brush. I didn't want to get a Furminator brush as I've heard those actually have blades and can harm your pet. So, I cautiously opted for this brush. I was a little nervous before trying it since it has metal tines and my cat is very small, delicate, and has fine short hair. However, she loves this brush and it doesn't hurt her at all. It's very good at collecting a lot of loose hair especially during shedding season. I brush her daily with it. It's very easy to clean since it has retractable tines.

This brush works extremely well! My cat is always having trouble with her hair and if it wasn't for this brush her hair would be all over my apartment! I even got my kids to help in rushing her and they are of varying ages so it really is a brush that both the Cat and the family can use safely and as needed for hair control.

Great concept but doesn't work well with a thick coated dog. Some of the bristles have fallen out also. I think on dogs or cats with shorter and thinner coats, this will work great. Being able to push a button and wipe off all the hair is great, I just wish it would've worked better on my Great Pyrenees.

Perfect for what it needs to do. My cat loves the feeling of the bristles so brushing time is one of his fav times of the day (second only to eating). He has medium-length fur that I was afraid wasn’t going to collect on the brush because it’s not longer but it builds up perfectly. I love the self-cleaning aspect too, makes it a lot less complicated. He’s been shedding so much less!

This is the absolute best tool for grooming cats. My cat actually rolls over on his back when I get this thing. When I was trying to brush around his butt, he lift his leg way up so I could get to it. So easy to clean off undercoat fuzz. Will definitely buy again!

collects hair very well! Our female dachshund was sired by a Collie ! So as a long-haired weiner dog,she sports "Lassie's coat". A short-hair dachshundmay be better served w. a lint roller.But it is an excellent & efficient brush without being too aggressive or stiff - bristled.

This is a great product. I’ve brushed Rudy 4 times already and he loves it. Rudy is part Golden Retriever and has long fur. I hold the loose hair, trapped in the brush, over the trash can, push the button and it falls out with a little push of my fingers. Great brush, great price!
