Good Replacement Remote
My comments and opinion: I recently bought this remote for my Samsung QLED TV, and it works well. It easily pairs with my TV and has all the basic functions I need, including voice control. The range is decent, with a 50-foot reach, and it responds quickly. The shortcut buttons for Netflix and Prime Video are handy. It’s a solid replacement, though nothing too extraordinary.Overall, it meets expectations for a Samsung remote and is a convenient option for everyday use.

Don’t expect Samsung quality
Remote Control BN59-01312A for Samsung QLED UHD 4K 8K Frame Solar 8 Series Smart TVNot a great start, the packaging consists of an outer bubble wrap and an inner soft paper pouch. Along with the remote is a leaflet with instructions. The remote is like the original but doesn’t weigh anything like it, it feels extremely light and plasticky. The remote takes 2 x AA batteries, these are not included but they did include a nice long black hair which was trapped under the battery compartment and the packaging sticky label, nice and hygienic! The volume and channel buttons are very loose and rattle around, they are functional though. The setup is same as the original, holding 2 buttons down and it will then pair with the TV, this worked first time, and all functions work correctly including the 3 buttons at the bottom which my original remote doesn’t have. The remote also appears to go into a standby mode so when first turning TV power on, the button requires 2 presses, one to wake up the remote, the other to turn the TV on/off. Any button will do though, and this is not a bad thing, it probably saves battery. In conclusion, it feels very cheap with wobbly buttons, but it does work fine. Not impressed with the additional hair, but hopefully it was only mine that had this. The extra 3 buttons at the bottom work too. A good alternative to the genuine remote.
