Appears to be a quality item
The media could not be loaded. Arrived yesterday. Immediately put it on charge and read the owner's manual. The owner's manual was lacking in some of the basic operations. For instance, you need to long-press certain buttons for certain functions, like changing tracks or volume up/down, also haven't yet figured out how to manually set a frequency on FM radio. There's presets, but I need to figure out how to manually change the frequency and then program the presets, (no mention of how in the owner's manual). Bluetooth was a snap. microSD was a little more complicated than simply toggling through the OS/On button to change inputs, I haven't yet tried the Aux capability and I may never use it. The owner's manual needs to go into more detail, that being said, the unit worked fine once I figured out the controls. Sounds great, lacks a little bass, but what can you expect for a small form factor speaker? I bought it specifically for use on my dual sport KLR 650 motorcycle, mostly for low speed/off roading or "when I get there" to have a picnic and have music or listen to news radio, and it fits the bill perfectly - including matching the colors of my bike :-) I loaded up a collection of music onto a microSD card and it works fine. The unit will accept microSD or TF cards (newer version of microSD) up to 64gigs. I only used MP3s, not sure if it will accept any other type of music file. It appears to be "loud enough" without the motor running on the bike or without the bike "at speed", not sure if it will be easily heard or not at highway speeds, but I am pretty sure it will be fine for slow rolling off road.

No buttons
I got this for my bicycle. I go on bike rides and like to listen to NPR talk radio or my music play list of good biking music.Actually I already had this speaker but got a new second bike and wanted a second mount for the second bike and to carry a second speaker with me in case the battery died while out. Right now, I would always have to recharge the speaker each day, even though I might have enough power for that nights ride.Well, I had previously ordered this speaker on Amazon and just re-ordered it. The new one is not the same as the old one. It is basically the same but this new version is bigger so while I have a new mount for my second bike, the old version of this speaker is too small for this new mount. So while I wanted 2 mounts and 2 speakers, I have to only use the new speaker on the new bike. This new version has a small LCD display, appears to sound better there are 2 things that bug me.1. The older version has 4 buttons on the side that you can feel and click. This is great while riding your bike with one hand. reach over click On or off or volume up. The new version has replaced the 4 clickable buttons with little indent pads. These are hard to find and push while riding with one hand. It seems like everything these days from my microwave to dishwasher are going to these touch pads.2. The rubber cover on the bottom to open the charge port, SD slot etc was easy to open on the old version. This newer version is super thick rubber and actually requires a steak knife from the kitchen to pop it open.Otherwise, enjoy, it has a loud sound and can boom.

Nice lots of features
This speaker has a lot going for it with all the features. I like the variety of listening enjoyment from this speaker like the radio ,Bluetooth,SD card, and auxiliary input. The output is great too for hooking up your wired headphones. The only bad points is the sound quality isn’t quite there at higher volumes and tends to distort and not as loud and clear as I wish it was. The battery doesn’t last as advertised. Other than that it’s a great device as long as you keep the volume down to medium or so. I would give it 5 stars if the sound was better. One more thing it could use is a clock on the display so when I’m out riding I could glance at it to see the time. Hopefully some improvements will be made on the next version. Thanks Don

LOUD Noises When Turned On and Off
Expect a very LOUD noise when turning this speaker on and off. Expect the volume to automatically be at MAXIMUM when it is turned on. So much for quietly sitting on a porch, deck, or patio. The solution might be to turn it on INSIDE your abode, then quickly adjust the volume and step outside. I leave mine on my covered deck, except in winter. The sound is what you would expect, even from a JBL product. (I have JBL pro audio speakers for live music production.) With this speaker you clearly hear the drums (EXCEPT for the kick drum.) Vocals are fine, as are guitars and synths, etc. But it's not realistic to expect much bass guitar from this small speaker. That's OK with me as I didn't get this for critical listening. I have studio monitors for that. This is just to hear my tunes on the deck while grilling or when company comes over. And I had to have a micro SD card slot. The plastic half-cover/bicycle attachment is a bear to remove the first time and has ZERO directions suggesting how to remove it. Just pry up the prongs of three or four of the "arms" that wrap around the speaker, then pull hard to separate them.Ok, it's small, about the size of my fist; it's adequate for soft music listening; and it's relatively inexpensive.Kind of hard to go wrong with this for the money, unless you need much more volume. With extensive searching I found two other units, much larger, likely with better bass, both having micro SD and USB drive slots, but neither was weatherized. That's a dealbreaker for me.
