These are fantastic glasses. As noted in other reviews they appear darker in the photo, but in reality are crystal clear and very elegant.I use these mostly for whiskey but I have also served wine in them and they work great for both purposes. I am not sure why another reviewer thinks the lip is too thick, it is perfect in my opinion and has a great mouth feel, but not so thin it feels delicate.I have broken one of them by dropping it in the sink but it was quite a fall. Glasses break if you use them though, and I have had them for 2.5 years. I would say these are generally more durable than your average glass. Other than the broken one they have held up wonderfully and I have enjoyed many night sipping out of these lovely crystal glasses. Recommended.

Our first experience with Schott Zwiesel's Tritan collection was the Pure Cabernet wine glasses. While break resistant don't go crazy with them. However from a price/quality standpoint they were great, so we tried out their long drink glasses as well as these "whiskey" glasses. While these would be great for an old fashioned or the occasional two fingers of scotch or bourbon, these are actually being used as everyday juice glasses and the occasional short drink.They stand up to both hand washing and the dishwasher well. They are a bit thicker and sturdier than the wine glasses in the Pure collection, a concern at first. We purchased two as an experiment and were so pleased we bought an additional 6-piece set. Great glasses. Very high style and quality for the price.

I drink a lot of scotch and was skeptical about this glass because it isn't a very traditional styled glass. My mind was quickly changed by the quality of this glass when it arrived. This glass is crystal clear and super durable. It also has the ability to sit on blankets or plushy surfaces without tipping over, due to its buoyant bottom shape. I can't explain how incredibly useful this floating feature is especially since my significant other and I watch a lot of movies on the couch or bed and usually set our drinks down on blankets or soft surfaces.These glasses are super durable and scratch resistant but I still wash them with a non abrasive cloth to be safe. Also the opening on the top is big enough for big hands to wash easily.Fantastic product that will definitely earn you compliments from house guests and be a game changer in your bar ware arsenal!

Great weight and the edge is thin and feels delicate while still being strong.

These are beautiful glasses. I held each one up to the light and looked it over and they are virtually perfect. I am thoroughly impressed. Granted, they are high end so that is what I expected, but I've purchased other mid to high-end glassware that had air bubbles and that drives me nuts.Obviously, there are tons of sizes and shapes to choose from, so that is more of a personal preference. With these, I love the balance of shape, weight and size for drinking whiskey on the rocks. I use the large ice molds for spheres and cubes and they fit nicely with enough room to swirl.

These are wonderful. My sole reservation comes from the comments which suggest not absolutely dishwasher safe-- so handwash, not a big deal.

To review such a product, one must carry a certain air of propriety and expertise, which is why I use such POSH words as 'elegant' and 'classy'--even 'tingly!'--to describe the experience of drinking from these suckers...But to be serious, these tumblers do have a CLASSY and crisp look and a STURDY feel to them. Very happy with my purchase.ONE NOTE: the photo of them makes them APPEAR to have a smokey look. In actuality, these glasses are CRYSTAL CLEAR with no tint to the glass.

I absolutely love these whiskey glasses. They are very solid and sturdy, and I get compliments on them nearly every time my friends come over and use them. They are a very fair price considering the quality of construction, have a sturdy weight to them, and I feel that the design improves the nose on most whiskeys (though not to the extent that a glen cairn glass does). I would definitely purchase these again if I needed additional whiskey glasses.
