I've used a lot of eye creams, many that just don't work, but this one actually makes your eyes worse. It did the exact opposite of what you would want in an eye cream.I waited to write this review since I didn't know if I was imagining it and as Shiseido is such an old well-respected name, and there were so many people wrote positive views. In fact, it was the overwhelming number of positive reviews was actually the reason I purchased it. I think my reluctance was due to this sort of placebo effect, but I can say absolute certainty that it was not me imagining it, this actually has made my eyes worse and I recommend anybody on the fence on that, to toss it immediately.And maybe many others are not having any problems, but it's the opposite for me, and it does exactly the opposite of what an eye cream should do, and I feel somewhat duped by the reviews, but I will be honest with my experience and can tell you right now, if you start to get drying or it is irritating around your eyes, then I will tell you right now, it won't go away, it will get worse, and should stop using it. If it gets into your eyes, it will sting like no other and hurt so bad also. Also, it doesn't really absorb well, it just sits there, and although it goes on smooth, it's like vaseline or something, as it remains sort of greasy until it dries. I'm shocked as well, as I don't understand the positive reviews by so many, when I've never had problems with any other eye creams like this, and I've never used an eye cream that made my under-eye area worse than if I hadn't used anything at all, and it made my eyes sting and water and the under-eye area was so dry, red and swollen, that I would have had to put ice on my face and had to look like an old hag until I let the dryness and peeling heal. That's what this product had done for me, so I have thrown it away, and it wasn't cheap either, so be warned.Also, PS, I looked online afterwards to see if anybody else had this issue, and I guess dermatologists who actually note this product contains a lot of alcohol and is damaging to under eye area delicate skin, so be warned. Use at your own risk and wouldn't recommend it, so just do your homework, and I hope my review helps somebody not waste their money if they had any concerns about something like this happening to them.There's only one nice thing about the product, it's got a nice scent, maybe I can use it for my feet or something instead of throwing it away.

A bit pricey but love the product

I always try all different types of eye creams and this one is by far, my favorite. It is on the thicker side of a cream, so if you do not like that, then this isn't for you. I've been using it for years and love it.

Shiseido wrinkle smoothing works amazing. This is the perfect cream to use over and under the eyes to smooth the skin and prep for makeup. The skin is bright moist and healthy looking. I use it for many years and I highly recommend it
