La Crosse Technology W88631 Digital Atomic Black Wall Clock with Temperature

The numbers are bold, clear and easy to read at a glance. This is the second one I've bought, and I've been very happy with them. Be aware that there is no back light, so one must use a light to read it in the dark. Even so, it meets my needs for accurate, easily readable time info. When I ordered the second one, I compared this to others available for the price. I only realized after ordering that this was identical to the one I've already had for a few years.

Right out of the box - which, as another recent reviewer noted, is a Mainstays box, complete with "Distributed by Walmart" on the back!? - the clock was easy to set up. Just pop a couple AAA batteries in it, follow the directions on the back to manually set the day, date and time zone, and then the clock did the rest. It was set to the second and keeping accurate time within just a few minutes.The display size is perfect for my bathroom, and it is easily visible from every angle. It is smaller and lighter than my previous clock, but seems to be made very well.

Pros: looks nice, and works (plug in batteries and it automatically tries to set the time).Cons: controls are a bit awkward. You pretty much have to read the instructions to know how to make adjustments. And that shouldn't be necessary, if they just designed the controls better.If I were designing it I'd lay out the display differently. E.g. there's no need to display seconds, and especially not as the second largest thing on the screen. And there's no need to spell out the entire name of the day of the week. All of that wasted space then forces the date and temperature--information that truly is valuable and important--squeezed into a small corner. Too small, IMO. LaCrosse really needs to hire me to design their clocks, lol.A curious side-issue: it comes in a Mainstays box.All in all I'm happy with it.

Perfect size for small area, but big numbers that are easily read. Easy to set up, and re-set for time changes. Battery easy to change. Recommend.

Want to see the time in the middle of the night? Want to see where to hit the snooze button in the dark.....then this clock is NOT for you. I've never seen (or heard) of such a thing. Having said that, it's an atomic clock for around $20! And while it's awkward finding the SNOOZE or OFF buttons in the dark, it's an atomic clock for around $20! Otherwise it's a well designed clock.If it was anybody other than Amazon, I would have given this clock 2 stars, but I was trying to drag their star-rating closer to reality. Not sure that's remotely possible anymore.

I love all the info on it and it’s easy to read. However, I have another like it but this new one won’t save the right setting for the west coast zone. It keeps reverting to Central time. I followed the directions to a tee but it just won’t hold. Frustrating!

The clock is everything they say it is. It’s accurate and the thermometer works. It’s the same size and color as described. Had it for months and the battery life is great. It’s reliable and cray to set up, the atomic feature makes it superbly accurate. The display is easy to read. It feels fairly light, and could knock over easily, so keep it out of harm’s way.

Just right.
