Addictive, very good taste and “chew” factor. I don’t find them salty at all.

I believe Icelandic salty licorice is the best in the world. However, its really expensive to ship it to the US. I was looking for an alternative licorice source that could hold me over till my next order. I tried this candy as a substitute. It has a taffy consistency and sticks really bad to the wrapper. Other than that, it satisfies my salty licorice cravings and I have no other complaints. While this is NOT the same as Icelandic salty licorice, it works for holding you over till your next order/trip.

If you like black licorice you will LOVE these-absolutely delicious!

I've been trying different forms of black licorice; sometimes happy with the results, sometimes less so. And these came in today and...wow. It's hard not to just keep putting them in my mouth! The taste is definitely on the sweet side, so you don't get the nice salty/spice hit that other brands look for. Also, the texture is definitely of a very soft taffy, so if you're looking for something with more of a chew or pull, you're not going to love these. And there are times when I would prefer something chewier, saltier, mouth-watering. But...I'm looking to the pantry now. I've only had six so far, I think. Surely a seventh wouldn't be bad, would it? No? Please?

The licorice was so-so. While fresh and chewy, it had somewhat of a menthol after taste.
