My dad, who has dementia, had to move from independent living to assisted living after an illness and hospital stay. My brother (who lives nearby) is his main care provider and it became apparent that the medication system they had previously set up (a weekly AM/Noon/PM pill organizer) was no longer working as some doses were skipped or taken too early. If the facility were to do medication management it was going to cost an extra $1000/month on top of the already high cost of assisted living. After doing some searching and reading reviews we chose a wifi controled livefine pill dispenser (sold separately) along with this livefine atomatic tipper to make things easier. We feel that after reading the reviews this tipper was needed to ensure the pills are dispensed correctly. My sibling is able to monitor the dispensing through the wifi system and can release a pill dose if our parent is tired and wants to go to bed early. The mechanism is easy enough for our parent to use for now in his current stage of dementia. We have only been using it this week, but we are optimistic that it will help keep him safe and make his retirement savings last longer.

DOES NOT FIT the PILL DISPENSER. I bought this when it was recommended for the automatic pill dispenser I was purchasing. Even though it was recommended for the model and brand - it does not fit. The mounting tabs are not in the right slotting alignment. Not even close.

The product was easy to set up. It works well doing what it was designed to do. My 91 year old mom can see the green button which is lit up to push it. What doesn't work well is the metal bowl; the little pills bounce out of it. Currently I am using a paper bowl and that seems to work. Maybe they could design a bowl with rubber in it to keep the little pills from bouncing out.

Works rights sometimes. Right now it flips, vibrates to make sure pills drop, flips back upright as it should…then it beeps 3 times as does the same again and again and…..I reached out to tech support, they asked me a question and now I haven’t heard back days later.

Bought this for my 78 year old mother and over all the solution works as designed. However, she has to use the metal spoon that ships with it to get all of the pills out of the medicine slot. There is a lip where the pills come out of the dispenser and the smaller pills get stuck on it.Additionally, the dispenser stopped tipping after 3 days of use. I'm exchanging it for another and hopefully that one will last. Given the price I did not expect it to stop like this. The tipper is important for her as turning the entire dispenser over to get her pills while we wait for the replacement is difficult for her to manage.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased a automatic pill dispenser for elderly parent. Unit needed to be turned upside down to get pills out. Parent kept shaking the unit which caused pills to come out of their compartments. This tilter solved this problem. Great addition to the pill dispenser. Pills were not dispensed in my video because it wasn't time for meds when the video was shot. Some complain about the size but to me it was exactly what I expected. Works great.

Going to try again but this far have been unable to keep device attached to tilting base. This does work very well one time then the next time the pill device comes off. Thankfully the device is locked and the medicine stays in device! Will for sure update this review when/ if we are able to correct problem we are having.

No more lost pills on the floor or dropping the pill dispenser.As the listing name says the tipper is compatible with the LiveFine Automatic Pill Dispenser and I have been using it for a couple months. I have been taking my pills more consistently since it reminds me when it's time to take them. This tipper makes it all the better! Just push the lit up green button and it dumps the pills into the bowl. (I leave the window on the pill dispenser open.) I went a step further and put an automatic mouthwash dispenser beside it except I filled it with water. I have no excuses not to take my pills now! Pills and water are automatically dispensed. It's easy to attach the dispenser to the wooden box (and it comes off easily). There is a 6'6" (or 78-inch) USB power cable that attaches very firmly into the unit. Wall adapter is not included. A 1'4" (or 16-inches) USB cord for the pill dispenser if your unit has charging capabilities (mine uses batteries). The wooden box is approx. 10" x 10.5, looks nice and is solid. It does take up a bit of table space. It comes with a large print 13-page User Guide in English. The only downside is the unit isn't exactly quiet when working. I don't mind it at all but if someone were taking pills early in the morning and there are bedrooms very close, they may be able to hear it. It makes a mechanical noise when it's tipping, it buzzes about 5 times after dropping the pills and then it makes the mechanical sounds again as it goes back up into place. While I am using this unit for myself, I may be loaning it to a very close relative in the future to see if it would be beneficial. She is in the beginning stages of a health issue that causes shakiness that progresses with time. After working in healthcare for decades I can appreciate how this unit can preserve and provide some independence. Made in China.
