5 Stars – Great Workout and Even Better Results!
This manual lawn aerator exceeded my expectations! It’s sturdy, well-designed, and surprisingly effective at relieving compacted soil in my yard. The tines go deep enough to make a noticeable difference, especially in high-traffic areas where the grass was struggling. It does take a bit of effort—think of it as yard work and a light workout combined—but the results are absolutely worth it. After just a few days, I could already see the grass looking greener and healthier. It’s easy to clean, and I appreciate the simple, no-fuss design—no gas, no noise, and no maintenance. If you want to improve your lawn without investing in expensive equipment or services, this is a great, budget-friendly solution. Just pace yourself, especially on larger yards!

Great tool, but it does get clogged a bit
This is a really good tool for aerating, but I would prefer it to have open top holes instead of the angled metal that is supposed to push out the dirt as you use it. It gets clogged very easily, and I kept having to stop to pry the soil out of it. My soil was a good moisture level when I aerated, so I'm pretty sure that wasn't the problem. I think it's just a "good on paper, bad in reality" kind of design.

Clogs
It pushes down easily but clogs instantly. I tried a four prong aerator and it was very hard to push down. This one was easy. I even waited til the soil was moist but not toom moist as everyone says and instant clogging. I fear I am making things worse. Kind of seems like a scammy product. I'm not blaming this brand, it is manual aerator's in general. this one seems well constructed and easy to put together and use.

Works well after a day or two after a light rain
works when the soil is a little moist

Meh
Its gets the job done, but since its three pieces i had to tighten the screws multiple times already. Opt for the single piece shaft.

Just compacts the dirt
I have tried this product in moist, dry and very dry soil, it does not work as advertised. The 1st shot plugs the core holes. The rest of the time you make holes but it’s just compacting the dirt. You may as well use a pitchfork.

Works ok but cores get stuck even when ground is moist
works ok but cores get stuck even when ground is moist. It also becomes loose after each use and i have to tighten. Could use lock nuts instead of what they have.

Works great!
Works better than expected. I have a small backyard so I didnt want to rent a big aerator. I have a Landzie leveling rake but couldn't justify their price for a manual plug aerator.I did use that design for trying to find an alternative. After looking at alot of options I settled on this one because of the design and great price. I like the little step this has and the handle is comfortable.I think one of the biggest things for me was the tines. It is one thing to insert the tool and get plugs. It's another thing to clear them. This tool has enough metal to cut but has a large enough opening to clear them. If your tines don't clear or remove the plugs you are either only going to punch holes or spend alot of time clearing them. This works really well.I will say we haven't had much rain recently but I tried it with pretty dry ground. It worked ok but was a struggle. I also had to clear the tines often because the dirt was so hard. I stopped and watered my yard for about 30 minutes to soften the soil. If it gets too wet it is not good either and the soil gets a little sticky. So I waited about 1hr after I watered. that worked out well where the soil was moist but not too dry or too wet. It plugged really well and cleared itself. A little trial an error to figure out the sweet spot and you are good.
