Great value
Don't usually write reviews but I'm so impressed with these stands I can't resist.Very heavy construction with a large base for stability and a platform large enough to lay a monitor on the side if you choose. Very heavy, all steel, well made overall. Well though out, also. Where the top mount tube inserts into the tube on the base, the tube is cross-drilled for a steel pin to support the weight & for height adjustment. The thumbscrew on the base is only to allow/lock the swivel while the weight is supported by the steel pin. A very good design. An excellent value for the price.

These are built like a tank, great monitor stands.
These are really solid monitor stands for a great price. They're very solid and feel over-built. I have a pair of EV passive studio monitors on them which are heavy, but a little on the small side for these monitors. I'd guess these stands would easily hold much larger, much heavier monitors securely. I anticipated laying some breathable non-skid padding on the top, but I was pleasantly surprised to see they actually come with a padded non-skid surface already installed. Things like that and the tethers and holders for the retention pins are things that make these stands surprisingly nice pieces of studio equipment for the price. Highly recommend.

Oh. We’re halfway there
These stands are wonderful but you need to take the time to make sure they are tight.I have my Yamaha ns10s on them horizontally and the fit perfectly. The height adjustment is sturdy and enough for a desk application. And the unsung hero is the tilt.My only issue is the bottom plate. It needs more than the supplied screw to keep it steady. I’d rather it have three screws. I had to really crank them to keep them tight so just be wary. The last thing you want is for one of these to tumble.

If You Have HS8's...
These are not the best option for Yamaha HS8 monitors, but short of using milk crates or building my own they are the only desktop stands (The Gator Frameworks stands are virtually identical) I could find that would work. A few things to be aware of:- Do NOT place HS8's on their side, the form factor will not fit on the plate and it is expressly stated in the HS8 manual that these monitors should be kept vertical- You'll have to turn the top plate sideways, otherwise the front and back of the monitors will hang off. This means that you can't tilt the monitors forward and backward but only side to side (which is okay because of the lip that now runs along the side of the monitor will make it lean if you don't put a piece of MDF down or use thick pads). Placing the monitors on the plate sideways fits them just about perfectly and distributes the weight pretty evenly- Use pads, I cut mine to fit the plate so I wouldn't have to deal with the aforementioned lip problemOverall the stands seem sturdy enough to hold the 29 pound beasts, but I check them from time to time for stability. The maximum weight these stands will hold according another website is 45 evenly distributed pounds but I wouldn't try to put anything bigger than an HS8 on them.

Wow these blew my expectations away
I'm sure like many others ordering random things off the internet these days you're never sure what you're going to get. I expected them to be somewhat flimsy or feel cheap. Absolutely not. These are beyond rock solid. They have a lot of weight to them. All the hardware feels well made. They hold up my small monitors without even trying. I could honestly probably stand on top of these and they would be fine. I'm thrilled with the quality and they've made a huge difference in how immersive my sound is.If you have studio monitors for desk speakers these are a MUST HAVE!

spot welds break
I know these get good reviews overall; but I just wanted to add the data point that I used them about a week and either I didn't notice at first or (and I can't see why it would happen later because they are under almost no stress) but the spot welds holding the speaker pan on to the neck of the base are broke on one side on both stands. I have been constantly fussing with them because they wouldn't stay quite where I put them. I realized finally that its because there is all this flex because the spot welds broke and are holding only on one side. So . . . probably just a bad pair but I think I will try another brand of this sort of stand before I get these again! Your mileage may vary . . . .

Heavy, but Sturdy. Speakers are nice and secure.
I wanted stands I could use on my desk, instead of the kind that are placed on the floor. These are fantastic for that purpose. They are sturdy as heck, and built like tanks. The clamp inside the tube is plastic. I do wish it were metal, though that may have scratched the visible pole that holds the upper portion. So far, seem to be holding steady. The black color looks great, and it does feel like decent quality. The foam on one of the stands was marked by a bolt or something during shipping, but when the speaker is on top, you can't see the defect. Very happy with these stands, and would recommend to anyone seeking to raise their monitors to the appropriate height for sound mixing, editing, etc.

Great Sturdy Stands
These stands are well made and are perfect for my computer monitors. I needed stands to elevate 2 monitors on my glass desk and was not comfortable with purchasing the monitor support that uses a clamp on glass. The On Stage stands are perfect as they do not take much room, are adjustable and did o mention they are sturdy and do not wobble or shake.I am a musician and use On Stage products for mic and amplifier stands so I already knew it would be great quality.Well worth the purchase.
