⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Impressively Engineered, Family-Friendly, and Performs Even in Daylight
As an engineer, I tend to notice the difference between something that’s just functional and something that’s thoughtfully designed—and this projector screen nails it.Setup was a breeze. The screen casing mounts on two brackets and can slide left or right, making it easy to perfectly center in the room without needing to remount anything. That small touch shows the kind of design thinking I really appreciate. What really impressed me is the automated function—the screen connects to your projector via USB and automatically rises when the projector turns on and lowers when it turns off. It adds a polished, integrated feel to the experience. My toddler absolutely loves watching it move—it’s become part of our family’s movie night routine.Image quality is excellent, even during the day. You can’t see it in the photo, but there’s an uncovered window directly behind the screen, and yet the brightness and contrast remain impressive. Pair it with a quality projector, and you won’t need to darken the room to enjoy a clear, vivid image.Safety is another standout feature. With all the weight at the bottom, the screen is extremely stable—something I appreciate in a home with a curious toddler. Plus, the design is sleek enough that it can be hidden or even recessed into the floor when not in use for a clean, modern look. This screen feels like a premium addition to our home theater, both in design and day-to-day usability. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high-performance, family-safe screen that blends seamlessly into a modern living space.

Worth the money!
Perfect, use at a trade show with lots of lighting from above, and even with no shade, it’s bright and sharp!

Best Projection Screen I've Owned
I bought this screen to pair with my AWOL 3000 projector in hopes to watch movies/tv in a lit room. The black screen is perfect for just that! Just like watching a big screen television. Looks even more amazing and vivid in darker rooms; having the option to use during the day and night is wonderful! The base that the screen rolls into is pretty heavy but works great. It is also sturdy and doesn't break easily. I know because I used it outside on a slightly windy day and it blew over (twice) despite the base being as heavy as it is. It fell over on a storage container that I was using to prevent the screen from blowing over and the screen didn't tear or break. I wish it came with some type of supporting poles to prevent it from falling over in windy weather. That is the only suggestion I would make but overall, a fantastic purchase! Would by again if I had to do it all over again. One more thing, it comes with a usb dongle that links the screen with the projector...so when it is turned on/off, it raises and lowers accordingly. Customer service is also great as they replaced my usb dongle that broke when my screen fell over.

Broke after 2 weeks
UPDATE: I was able to get in touch with AWOL support and they sent me information on how to factory reset my screen. It is working again, so it is usable. Updated my ranking from 1 to 4 stars. I left one off due to concerns about how this screen will hold up over time.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Received this item new in box and it worked great for a couple of weeks. Now it only goes up about an inch and then immediately goes down again. AWOL support phone lines have been down for days. I now have a very big, and very heavy paper weight. If I'm already having issues after a few weeks, what does this say about the overall longevity of the screen? Trying to get it fixed or replaced, but can't get in touch with AWOL. Buyers beware.

Great projector screen - worth every penny!
I have tried a variety of screens over time and finally gave up and just used the wall as it was easier in apartments. My latest place has the worst walls so I started searching again and I found this beauty on sale. It arrived in a very long box that took a while to unload and unpack the screen. However, once it was in place, everything was easy - the fob for the projector has worked every time to open or close the projector depending on if it is on or off. I haven't hooked it up to my UPS yet with other devices, I wanted to wait and see what happened during a power outage with the screen open vs closed. The screen itself is the best I've ever seen and works both during the day and at night. I had some helpers over to help with a monitor and they were asking questions about the screen and liked it as well. The only downside is that it is a bit noisy when it rises into place and returns to the case. However, it doesn't take that long but something to be aware of if you have neighbors.

Awol does not disappoint
I was superbly pleased when menu aspects and features of this projector screen! First, it arrived and essentially operating right out of the box! Not many things come this way anymore! Second, the smoothness quietness that it rises up with is impressive to say the least. To me, it’s somehow an enjoyable whirring as the screen raises end lowers. Clearly made well and a premium product as promised. Lastly, the picture on this is top notch I have owned several ELITE brand screens that were nearly as expensive as the one, but they all paled in comparison to this beauty! The ALR is crazy good. I didn’t even realize what I was missing out on! DYING to try th AWOL short throw projector - hopefully soon!

Screen vs. wall
The picture on the screen is better than the wall but lining the picture up is difficult. The screen is very delicate so you have to be careful with it. I’ve had it over a week and still haven’t lined the picture up properly. Whether the picture with the screen is worth $2099.00 I’m on the fence. It was way easier to line it up on the wall.
