Glitch issues, Nix requires a subscription $
This is my 3rd frame from nix. Sometime their frames can have issues with them going black. You just have to unplug it and then it comes back. I had one not work for a long time almost threw it away then plugged it in one more time and it worked again. Nix does require a $50 subscription if you want to have longer videos on the frame. That's pretty lame too, other than that. I love love love digital frames

Nixplay Frames Now Require a Subscription. Most Features and Promised Storage Behind a Paywall
Before you purchase any Nixplay photo frame, there are two things you should be aware of:1) You must now PAY recurring subscription fees OVER and OVER again to unlock and use most of the functions of a Nixplay frame and to be allocated cloud storage for your photos over the barest minimum. If you stop paying for a subscription, Nixplay frames become essentially useless for their intended purpose. You are helplessly locked into their platform with no other option.2) The company behind Nixplay frames can no longer be trusted to treat existing customers fairly. Their business was built on a promise to those purchasing Nixplay frames they would have 10GB of cloud storage for their photos. That was recently taken away. Now unless you pay for a recurring subscription the product you previously paid a premium price becomes essentially useless. Many of the features have been moved behind a paywall and the free storage that was promised has been reduced by 95% from 10GB to just 500MB. This corporate scheme to remonetize products already sold was a complete betrayal to their loyal customers.I was a longtime supporter of the Nixplay brand. I paid more than $500 for the three Nixplay photo frames I purchased through Amazon. Had I been told when originally buying those frames the functions and storage Nixplay said would be free would actually require an additional paid subscription that never ended, I would NEVER have bought Nixplay frames. Many, many others feel the exact same way.Even if you are okay with paying for a never-ending subscription, you should be wary of this company. The same legal fine print that Nixplay is using to justify taking away the 10GB of free cloud storage they promised will also allow them to raise their subscription rates at any time to any amount for no reason. There is nothing you will be able to do about that, except pay even higher fees or cancel your subscription and essentially “brick” any Nixplay frames you bought.Nixplay is now a brand you should avoid. Do not believe the five star reviews here. At the time I am submitting this, all of those were written BEFORE Nixplay decided to essentially brick our photo frames with after the sale subscription fees we did not agree to. Check out the most recent Nixplay reviews (after March 12, 2025) to find what users now think about Nixplay and their photo frames.I will never buy another Nixplay product again for these reasons. I am currently reviewing the Aura and Pix-Star brands as alternatives.

Be cautious
Just know that this frame will only hold 2000 photos and then you have to pay for storage. Framo frame and others hold 40K photos and no fees. Very unhappy and now too late to return.

Confusing setup, slow support
Setup was a bit challenging. I gave this as a gift to my older parents who can’t really manage the frame themselves. I should have set up as my own frame but I set up instead as a gift frame. That was a mistake. I had to factory reset frame and contact support to get it so that I could manage the frame for my parents.
