Crabtree & EvelynEau de Toilette, Summer Hill 1.7 oz

I bought Crabtree & Evelyn products for years and was disappointed when they discontinued Nantucket Briar products.The scent I received was weaker than the original and it did not last on my skin as well as the original. But it was the same scent which I always loved.

I've worn this for years and always get compliments. The scent is very clean and crisp. Not overpowering but a very distinctive fragrance. I also wear the lotion.

Nantucket Briar was my favorite fragrance for years. I was so disappointed when production stopped a couple of years ago. When I saw this available again, I ordered it immediately, but not only does it not smell anything like the original to me, the new scent is unpleasant. Unfortunately, it's not returnable, so I'm stuck with $50 of cologne that will end up in the trash. I wouldn't have even given one star if I could have done the review without it.

I’m questioning if this is a knock off or if they reformulated the scent to include a lot of powdery notes. I’m an aromatherapist for 30 years now. There are florals yes but there are powder notes like Nuntucket Briar. I won’t return because it doesn’t have the horrible sillage of cheap perfume and it’ll work fine to spray on bedsheets or drawers. I might not wear it out in the world only because even though I’m 54 I’m not old yet and the powdery notes is what grannies wear. If this is a true C&E then they changed the scent.
