Bought these Grumpy Butcher strip steaks for a weekend dinner and seared them in a cast iron skillet—3 minutes per side, then rested for a few. The marbling was spot on, and they stayed tender even cooked to medium, which my wife prefers. Our neighbor popped by for a drink and ended up finishing a steak too—he couldn’t stop raving. Only nitpick: I wish the thickness was a bit more consistent across the pack to allow for universall doness, but flavor and quality were definitely there.

Aged enough to deepen the flavor. Not gamey or overpowering, has rich beef taste. Cooked one after a long drive home and first bite made me forget how tired i was.

I ordered these for a birthday gift for my brother and he said they were terrible. He will be cutting them up and using for stew meat. I’m glad he let me know so I don’t ever order them again. It a shame when you spend that kind of money anticipating that you’re providing a nice gift.

I ordered 8 strip steaks. The meat was more tender than filet mignon, very fresh, lightning fast shipping and at a decent price. One or two minor gripes tho - they came packaged 4 steaks to a package partially frozen while I prefer individually wrapped steaks. Also, one package of 4 steaks appeared to be a tangled mess of cut meat rather than "steak" steaks. It's still delicious but if I saw the presentation in local butcher shop I would have passed it by.
