Let me just start off this review by stating that my only gripe with it is that I cannot raise or lower its height. That aside... it's a highly functional light. There's three light setting levels and all three are dimmable, with a rather generous amount of variability permitted to find a desirable luminosity. There's a timer function that's quite handy and even a remote to control everything with. The neck cranes, if you will, which allows for the user to direct the light at a target with a pretty high degree of precision. Very handy if you're using it as a work light.The main body structure is definitely metal and not plastic, but I was pleasantly surprised to find it is not heavy. The base is of sufficient diameter that you don't have to worry about it tipping over. The neck is secured nicely to the body and, again, made out of metal so not chincey in the slightest. I think it's excellent in terms of overall durability and will last for years to come.It might not turn any heads in terms of its looks but it certainly is functional and I'd definitely buy another one if/when the price is right.

Great lamp wish the base was larger unbalanced on carpet

It was a lot smaller than I expected. This lamp is bright and I like the light settings. The price was decent. It does wobble on tile floors. The remote works good.

This is just an awesome light. I saw this on the Amazon site one day through one of the sites that notifies you about deals, and thought that it was just what I needed to add a little class to my den. The price was on-sale yet still reasonable for what I was getting. I chose the black metal version (it made it look more sophisticated ), but also fit in well with my other décor. I really like the way the lamp head can move so you can direct the light to where you need it today or differently tomorrow. The pieces fitted together nicely, and the stand seems to be sturdy, providing the stability to keep the lamp standing. I like the fact that it uses an LED bulb too, so I feel that I am doing a little bit to energy-efficient things in my house. The light it casts out is so much stronger than the one I had, so it brightens up the entire den. I didn't realize how limited the previous one was. And did I say that it has a remote? That made it complete for me.All-in-all, I couldn't be happier with it.

Doesn't screw on right,it's lopsided!

For the price, it's a good lamp and I like it. I've been using it every day since it arrived with no issues. Don't expect it to be as bright as an overhead light, but I don't think most lamps are in the first place. It's too bright to look at, so I always have it turned away. The flexible stand is nice and I like having the remote. You can change settings on the actual stand itself, which I also like because I don't have to try to find the remote to turn it on quickly.I subtracted a star for 2 reasons. One, it was annoying to put together. Had I not come back to read the reviews, I would have thought I received a defective one. The instructions aren't great despite being "simple" and I had no idea there was another part of the stand stuck up inside one of the pieces, which took some effort to get out (it was REALLY stuck and I didn't have much that would fit in there). So what could have taken me 2 minutes to put together, took about 20 by the end of it.The buttons on my remote are also backwards. Changing the color is shown as adjusting brightness and brightness shows as changing the color. Its somewhat annoying to think about it every time.Over all, it's fine and I would still buy it again.
