The media could not be loaded. This is a lot of fun for a relatively small amount of money, in fact you would pay a lot more for a day out or a couple of drinks in the local cafe. This microphone may well eventually annoy you but it may also provide some fun quality time.This is a microphone with a built-in loud speaker. You can speak and sing through the mic while music is playing through the speakers, hence why it's a karaoke mic. The speaker is actually pretty decent and I think you might pay more for a simple Bluetooth speaker of the same quality. If you don't mind the fact that this is a large, bright pink microphone then it could just as well be a full time Bluetooth speaker.The Bluetooth connects without hassle and the name given in the instructions matches the device name that came up on my phone so no guessing.This particular model has disco lights which flash in time to whatever noise you have chosen to play through it.The mic is directional and you need to sing into the top of the mic so if you are vertical then the mic needs to be horizontal when it meets your mouth. There is a "Remix" slider on the side which simply adds echo or reverb to the microphone. The slider if flimsy and small so the travel is very short and as such it is hard to get an accurate setting. Mainly you can get full reverb or none and if you are very careful something random in between. The mic volume slider is the same.It's glitzy and a bit silly but if it makes you happy and gives others a smile, well you can't put a price on that. Having said that the price is actually very reasonable and about right.

This karaoke microphone comes in a nicely illustrated cardboard box and it would make a lovely present for an up-and-coming pop star.The pink microphone is even brighter and shinier in real life than it is in the photographs and certainly contributes to a performer’s extrovert image - probably not compatible with singers of protest songs, or the miserable folk singer fraternity.Initially I had difficulty turning it on. There are six buttons and a couple of faders on the control panel, but pressing them had no effect, and holding them down had no effect. Yes, I now know the instructions tell you exactly where the button is, but my eyesight isn’t good enough to read the tiny font on the tiny slip paper that constitutes the instructions and it wasn’t until I photographed them for this review that I could actually read them - I have added the photographs and even numbered which side you should read first in case they get posted out of order.When I eventually did find the “ON” button and held it down. I was scared out of my wits by a very loud voice talking about Bluetooth and all the LEDs flashing like crazy - see attached video - and warn nervous children before they use it!There are lots of functions and I haven’t been able to test them all. I am going to get my granddaughter to put it through its paces and will add to this review if there are any problems. What I did try, but without success, was to listen to Radio Four on the FM radio. This just cycled through one hissy carrier after another - I don’t expect FM radio is a prime concern for the intended users of this microphone, so it probably doesn’t matter.This is a fun item and it isn’t very expensive. I recommend you give it a go if you like Karaoke, want to start a band, or scare a grandchild - but beware once they get to know how to use it they could get their own back in spades!

It's a fun little toy and it works, but that's about it, it's nothing special. It does feel cheap which is understandable but the sound quality is also underwhelming, hence the three stars.

Initially my partner objected to the idea of doing a singing demo for my video, but after some gentle cajoling obliged with a song. And then she want wanted to sing another one! Whether or not this karaoke machine actually gets into the hands of my granddaughter is anybody guess now! I'll probably have to get another one.The machine has good easy connectivity via bluetooth to a TV, Computer or phone, but we're just as happy using it on its own, singing the words we see on any screen or even without a prompt. For the money, I think this is an excellent value device that will provide us with hours of noisy fun.

Lots of fun!
