Emile Henry Modern Classics Collection 8" x 5.5" Rectangular Baking Dish | Twilight

We don't eat a lot of casseroles. The one thing I do make on holidays are Au Gratin Potatoes. We don't want a huge amount, nor does my recipe reheat well in the microwave. I believe this size will make a great portion. It really is a beautiful dish, I ordered a second one, once I got to see it in person. It was very well packed, packed once in the manufacturer's box and then boxed again. I think it is a very versatile size and will serve us well.

This dish is only the size of a 3x5 index card. I’m serious. It’s cute and would make a nice little dish for olives or cubes of cheese. Talk about false advertising. The size is way off base.

Please note the size. This is a small baker for individual casseroles or side dishes. I love almost anything made by E.H. therefore I am a bit bias. The color of this dish is lovely especially due to the contrast of the white interior. I have used this baker for small casseroles and desserts, it is just the right size for one or two people. Microwave friendly and easy to store. Clean-up is easy due to the smooth interior. I can't speak to durability yet, I have only used it a few times. I am happy with my purchase.

This small ceramic dish is fine. Have several others I purchased previously so know the size is on the smaller size but perfect for individual servings. While the description indicates the color is twilight (sort of a shade of indigo) what I received was more of a blue/grey mix. Definitely stands out compared to my other Emile Henry baking dishes (all twilight colored) but will keep since it is functionally fine. Expect minor variations in color as the kiln/firing process produces slight differences. Not sure why this wasn't caught at the plant by the QA team although Amazon may be the outlet for seconds, hence the competitive price.

This is one of about 10 shipped, this one was one of all of which had to be replaced, half cancelled by different sellers because they had no quality items in their inventory. This one had a very noticeable smudge of blue paint in its basin. Sadly, that is better than all the others which were lucky to have glaze covering the cooking surfaces. For costing 4x what le creuset Thai ceramic does they certainly have a long long ways to go in getting to the level of quality craftsmanship and pride in their work as their Thai counterparts. It’s sad.

I bought several of these to replace the Le Cruiset ones I bought previously. They were a little more expensive than Le Cruiset, but wow! It's so true that you get what you pay for. These are fantastic! They clean well, cook evenly and are so much better than the other ones which were hard to clean and cracked all the time. Emile Henry is an excellent product and I will continue to add to this collection. I would never again buy Le Cruiset.

I use this mostly for baking casseroles but it can be used to reheat and serve many items. It goes from freezer to oven (or microwave) to dishwasher and performs perfectly. Also, the handles are perfect for small-space storage and taking in and out of oven with a mitt.

This is not 8 inches by nearly 6 inches ( unless you count the handles!) It's more like 5 inches by 6 inches. Very small. Returned it.
