BOGAR TECH DESIGNS Side Window Chrome Delete Vinyl Film Replacement Compatible with Mazda CX-5 2017-2025, Gloss Black

I’ve been in the process of modifying my Mazda CX5 and slowly doing a chrome delete. I priced getting the window chrome trim (“hockey sticks”) vinyl wrapped which came in around $250 on average and the time involved was a day without my car. I looked for alternatives and didn’t want to do hyperdip/plastidip. I came across this overlay and thought I’d order it and return it if it looked cheap etc.To my surprise these are very quality trim pieces. They were packaged very well to prevent damage and bending. It also came with great written instructions, adhesive adherent application, microfiber cloth, a link to video tutorial and black vinyl tape as a pre-application. After watching the video a couple times I decided to give it a try.I first dry fitted the pieces to determine spacing and if there was any chrome showing through the ends and edges. Most of the chrome showed around the edges at the thick end of the hockey stick. I cut the vinyl pieces in half to double the amount of tape as a precaution and slowly placed around the edges of thick end of the hockey stick. This took some patience to get it placed correctly. It wasn’t perfect and that’s ok…the overlay covers 99.9% of it. Then I followed the rest of the video instructions.Overall really easy! The only challenging part was placing the vinyl tape to prevent show-through. These overlays are fantastic. Def worth the money if you’re looking to chrome delete your CX5. My only suggestion to improve would be to include double amount of vinyl tape but it all works amazingly well. Loving the improved look of my CX5.

These are easy to misalign and have some chrome showing through due to being precut. There is overhang and trimming required on them, but it’s so little that it’s easy to get misaligned on the top or bottom. I’d just get eBay black window trim covers in black if I had to do it again.

The cut of the vinyl is not precise. A lot of trimming will be necessary. Not an easy DIY maybe get a professional to get it done. I was afraid to damage the vehicle with the trimming

For being a pre-cut wrap. It’s ok. The adhesion is weak but it’s ok. I just re-attach. And I’m good for like a week or 10 days. But has not faded or dried out. Like my professional wrap that I had done on the last car. I’d use it again.

Buy your own wrap this is a rip off the cuts are not good. Go buy your own wrap and knifless tape do it yourself

I love how this vinyl wrap looks on my car deleting my chrome trim. Just be careful, I wasn't careful enough and I ripped the very last piece I was putting on. It was 100% my fault. I'm trying to contact the company to see if I can one replacement piece to do the one I screwed up over again. Other then that it's a great product.

Definitely loved this it fit perfectly and worth the money
