Great upgrade from single speed whisperflo
The design and efficiency of this pump is amazing. Easy to program, less noise and efficient. I bought this pump as a replacement for a 10 year old whisperflo that was still operational but I wanted a variable speed pump for efficiency. Direct replacement from my old pump and it was very easy to program and start operation.The pump is significantly quieter than my old pump and the variable speed capability is very nice.I would definitely recommend this pump

Beware of Pentair
I purchased this pump and the additional hardware needed to install it which is not provided. All total over $2000 I installed it even though no installation instructions are supplied.. I started it, and it went into priming mode as it should. However it never sucked any water up from my pool. I checked everything and tried several more times, but still nothing.I called Pentair and was only able to talk to a non-technical person who could not help me fix anything. I asked what the warranty was, and was told since I purchased it from Amazon and installed it myself the only warranty was 60 days on parts and nothing on labor. I also would have to hire a pool professional at my cost to diagnose any parts needed. Pentair technical support does not seem to exist. So now I will most likely remove it and hope I can return it to Amazon

Pentair 2.6 hp vst variable drive pool pump
Pump came on time and it works great after I installed it. I also recommend the Amazon warranty you can purchase with it.

Fits in old pentair
Arrived sooner than expected and happy cause the pool need circulation everyday. This pentair pump fitted exactly in the space of the old one without cutting any pipes. The electrical was a flexible wire. Pump has three settings. Works good so far. It has only been a week.

very efficient
for some reason it continually looses its prime. don't know ifthat's the fault of the pump or my system. I would appreciateany suggestions to correct this problem.Dan
