Transform Your Healthy Cooking with Ease – A Must-Have 3 Tier Electric Food Steamer!
I purchased this Salter 3 Tier Electric Food Steamer as a gift for my aunt, and she absolutely loves it! She’s been using it constantly to prepare healthy meals, from vegetables to fish, and she says the results are always perfect. The 7.5L capacity is great for cooking large portions, and the stackable baskets make it easy to steam multiple foods at once. She also loves how easy it is to clean, with the baskets being dishwasher-safe, and the compact design makes it simple to store. The included rice bowl is a nice bonus, and the 60-minute timer is a handy feature for busy cooking days. Overall, she’s thrilled with how convenient and efficient it is for healthy cooking!Highly recommended if you're looking for a reliable and easy-to-use steamer.

Very good, watch the steam though.
Really good and easy to use, lightweight steamer baskets but be mindful of the steam when removing baskets, likewise the hot water left within the base afterwards - allow it to cool before emptying the water out.Definitely keep out of reach of kids and away from the worktop edge, stability is questionable as it’s tall and narrow. Don’t try to move it once it’s in use!We recently had our gas boiler removed and replaced with an Air Source Heat Pump so it seemed pointless paying a gas standing charge for just our cooker rings (ovens are electrical) and our gas fire which we don’t use anyway. I needed a way to cook things that we used to use the gas rings for, this steamer was bought to tied us over until we have a new kitchen in a years time. It is brilliant, easy to use it’s got a lot of power and does steam beautifully and even. You can cook enough for 4 people with Sunday Dinner servings. As an added bonus we can take this camping with us as we have an inverter in our van. Electric hook up. It’s already paid for itself in the 2 months since we had the gas capped off and removed by our supplier and the portable induction job we’ve also bought.

Great steamer and compact
Great steamer and compact there's plenty of room for food. The option of using one, two or three baskets is beneficial. The timer is a bonus too. I placed quartered tattys in bottom basket then in the 2nd one I had cabbage and carrots together, set timer 20 mins and while food is being steamed you can potter on. I think you'd have to be careful when washing as the plastic baskets don't seem very thick, however, they're strong enough to hold plenty of food. Would be better if there was a buzzer or 'ding' when time was up but the light on the base does goes off when finished. Very easy to use and would recommend.

For couples or small families
Had this for 6 months now. Capacity is good for 2 or 3 people, but I do often steam potatoes and they do take up more room. The bowls feel quite flimsy, and cannot be put in dishwasher, but so far are lasting well. Is quite easy to clean by hand, anyway. My previous steamer was the Morphy Richards 48755, which was larger, so I am comparing to that. Smaller size is good for storage and its light and easy to put in/take out of cupboard. The base for water capacity in the Salter is smaller, so you have to watch the water level more, but you can cook potatoes without having to top up. What is better with the Salter is that the bowls are all the same size, using separate rings to hold and support them, so you can easily swap bowls around to different levels, which helps if the top bowl is not cooking as fast as the bottom one. (the Morphy Richards were differing size bowls). A minor point but I saw someone else mention it, is that this Salter steamer does not make audible ping sound when the timer finishes, but you can hear a small noise as it clicks off, so its not a big deal. With the steamer (and any steamer, really) what I like is that I can put something like potatoes onto to cook, then leave them, knowing they won't boil away to a mush, and I also use it to keep veg warm, without over cooking anything. One extra aspect is that this steamer is very low wattage, so very economical to run.
