It is a universal ladder attachment!
We like how easy it was to attach to our older ladder.

Was sent 2 left hands. Brackets should be left and right because of the way they are made.
Not worth sending back. Just tossed out with the trash.

Made my old ladder sturdy again
The spreader bars on my old ladder were wiggly and did not keep the legs secure. This purchase saved me from having to purchase a new ladder. The only tricky part was drilling out the rivets that attached the old speader bars. I was able to use the same holes.

These do the job but they are thin aluminum
I like these and they work okay. I had to drill new holes in the ladder to install them but it's not a big deal.Only two gripes:1. They are made of very think aluminum. They're kind of fragile and that makes me nervous because it's only a matter of time before I bend them. I wish they were thicker and more sturdy.2. They don't include any bolts or nylocks or anything like that. I know they probably expect us to rivet them into the ladder but I think it's fine to use a bolt and a nylock nut. I had to go to the hardware store to get the bolt and nut.Otherwise, they do the job and I can't complain too much. They hold the ladder in place quite well.

Size is bigger than you think
We have a 6 foot step ladder, and these are much larger than the ones that we need to replace. I was actually able to make it work by mounting them further down the ladder than I wanted to, but it's not ideal. The dimensions are listed as 2x1x1 which doesn't make much sense, and doesn't really have anything to do with the size of these. Fully extended, they're about 19 inches long, so they're for big ladders.
