Great Sounding. Great Value
I compared it with two of my Studio Micophones (AKG C214 and Sure SM7B) side by side. and it sounds great next to the other great mics I have

Well made mic
I'm a newbie and had no idea what type of mic I needed, what equipment I needed, or how this was going to work. I'm starting to make YouTube videos for my business and found the built in mic & iPhone camera in my phone just wasn't cutting it. I wanted professional video with a professional sound. I ordered this thinking I would know what I was doing and it took some time, and good solid research before I was able to make this sound the way it should. This is a very durable, sturdy, heavy duty built mic with a shock mount and a pop filter. So, what exactly are those things? Yeah - I didn't know either when I ordered this. The pop filter prevents splashes of sound from hitting the microphone when you are talking, singing, etc. (like the popping or crackling). The shock mount prevents exactly that, the shock or impact of vibrations coming through on the sound. I'm telling you - if you do not know - you do not know. Little did I realize, when listening to the sound from this mic system versus just my iPhone mic how different and professional this would make me sound. The mic itself is heavy duty and the XLR connector cord snaps in to ensure you have a good quality audio transmission (unlike some cords that create a static on the line or hum because they aren't securely fitted).I'm still figuring out how to use this equipment effectively but I can tell that it is a solid kit with well made components. The price is what I would expect to pay for the quality, too. I'm keeping the box because the foam padded formed storage is a plus for me for keeping this in good shape long term.

Simply amazing
First let me get this out of the way, a condenser microphone is an active microphone, that means it needs power to operate; if you don't have 48v (also know as phantom power), or don't know what that is then get educated on the subject and come back for this treasure. The pictured frequency charts above compare this condenser microphone unfairly to a typical best in class dynamic microphone, the Shure SM-58. SM-58s are used for basically everything you've ever seen performed live, they are amazing and a workhorse of the audio industry. Comparing anything else to them is unfair because they've been honed over decades. This microphone blows them away.Likes:- Comes with accessories! Having a shock mount and pop filter make this thing really shine and I'm glad they were included- Comes with an XLR cable, not the best cable, but better to have one than need to go shopping- The microphone itself is beautifully made and blows away the specs.- Frequency response - The testing I did shows frequency response well above 20KHz and possibly could perform well beyond 24KHz. My testing was done on a Focusrite Scarlett Solo (3rd Gen) at 48KHz- Dynamic range was amazing I personally peaked out at 90db but I'm also averse to loud noise. 120db doesn't seem outlandish to me.- Noise rejection was superb- Gain. Wow, very little problem with gain compared to the dynamic microphones, I may need to spend some quality time dialing it in right but I no longer need to max out the gain on my DAC.Improvements- Honestly for the price category this is in, nothing.- The included XLR cable isn't great, if you're serious about recording you should probably pick a better one up but this one will get you startedOverall I'm completely blown away by this microphone and would use it for recording anything I care about and want to listen to in headphones. It's complete overkill for most uses, but if you just love audio like me then this will make for some truly stunning recordings when paired with the right equipment. If you're looking for a condenser microphone and have an input that can supply 48v (Phantom Power) to a microphone this is the one you want.
