Zap your rodent worries away! ⚡
The Eliminator Mouse Trap is an electric rodent control solution designed for humane and efficient pest management. With a powerful 7000V shock, it instantly kills various rodents, including mice and rats, while ensuring a no-touch, mess-free disposal process. It operates on either batteries or a plug-in adapter, making it versatile for any home setup. The trap features an indicator light for easy monitoring and is built for repeated use, providing a clean and effective way to keep your space rodent-free.

The Eliminator continually works, in contrast to older electronic models we had tried.
We had tried other units operated only by batteries. Some got one rat, no multiple kills. The Eliminator can use batteries, but with the unit plugged into an AC outlet, we get kills all the time. We discovered that modern rat bait contains no real poison and is completely ineffective. So we went back to electric rat zapping in spite of our poor previous experience. The Eliminator has extra features not available before. The best feature, which is not advertised, is the included bright blue LED light on a cord that plugs into the unit. This ONLY lights after the rat is zapped and fully electrocuted. When the blue LED is flashing (and the unit is making a repeated audible chirp) we know a dead rat is in there. We then turn off the toggle switch on the unit. We use peanut butter as bait. With a small square of aluminum foil we make a dish in the bait pit to hold the peanut butter. After unplugging the power and LED cords from the housing, we dump the dead rat and bait dish. After that it is IMPERATIVE to clean and dry the BOTTOM section thoroughly to eliminate any oder a new rat could detect. We use the hot water sink sprayer without soap and a hair dryer. The electronics (located only in the top half) are NOT waterproof, so if used outdoors it is essential to have a covered location to protect the armed unit from getting wet. The small transformer that powers the unit has a bright red light when plugged in so you know power is available. We've written this review because the included directions are not very clear, particularly regarding the way the LED attachment works. It should always used, as the light on top of the unit is quite dim.

Worked ONCE!
It worked ONCE and I accidentally killed a squirrel. Took it back out to kill 2 huge RATS that I caught on Camera.. Got to see the Rats walk in , Eat the Peanut butter , lick the bowl clean and walk away. I have video of it.FRESH DD batteries in it too.Could have paid $15 Bucks for a STACK of rat traps instead.

This is effective for rodents as large as gray squirrels
We have been overrun this year with chipmunks, red squirrels, and gray squirrels. They have damaged screens, woodwork, flowers, and destroyed numerous strings of outside Christmas lights. Some of the older rodents have obviously been trapped by others with Hav-A-Harts and not transported far enough away (or transported to our neighborhood). They will sniff around but not enter the trap.We purchased the Eliminator to hopefully eliminate red squirrels and chipmunks, not gray squirrels, because it has a very small opening and is only powered by 4 D batteries. But guess what? So far in about 4 weeks we have eradicated 4 field mice, 4 red squirrels, 5 chipmunks, and 6 gray squirrels. We only set it outside on days with no precipitation because it is not waterproof, and we usually get at least one critter when we do. The bait is a dob of peanut butter with a couple of split shelled peanuts on top. The gray squirrels seem to only enter when we are away from home with no outside human activity. I think they are afraid of not seeing or hearing us when their head is inside. Take the instructions seriously and clean the inside carefully after a kill. It is very easy to do. It must be completely dry to electrically initialize again. We use a hair dryer and leave it in the sun to get every bit of moisture out. Sometimes a rodent will manage to remove the bait without tripping the electronics, but it usually gets them the next time. So far, this is the best trap we have found. And not messy: the rodents look like they are sleeping.

Not as described
I had very good luck with a similar style in the past. I wanted one that plugs in so the voltage would always be at maximum. Description says this comes with adapter and can takeD batteries. It actually comes with a USB Cord and a lithium battery. The other attachment does not light up at all when I plug it into port. As there are no included directions on this part i'm not sure if it only lights up when there is a dead mouse inside. I prefer to use glue gun to bait my traps. I attached a selecton to the lid. I do not like peanut butter as it attracts ants. USB cord is approx 30 in. I added a brick so I can keep it plugged in. Green light turns off when battery is fully charged. As with my last trap blinks red about every 10 seconds. I haven't seen any signs of mice, but my 15 year old Yorkie has been on alert during the night. Is she deaf, probably. Is she senile, likely. Has she ever caught a mouse, no. But just in case I am ready. 5 years ago I killed over 25 mice with a similar device. I like it better than setting snap traps. As above if you use snap traps, using a glue gun to secure nut or dog food is a game changer. No more stolen bait. As price was good, I will be keeping even though it isn't what is described.

Absolute crap product-see update
I have now ordered and returned three of these. They kill one mouse, very effectively I might add, then refuse to work again. I have followed all directions, cleaned them, done all the things. I even gave it the oh maybe it was defective, I'll try again. But this is #3. You might ask why I'm crazy enough to keep trying. It's because it's a great mouse trap that one time it works. It's safe for all my animals, no splatted mouse to clean up, all good things. But only once, and then never again.Edit: The actual Gideon brand one works great. Took me 3 returns to get the actual pictured version and maker.
