I have used hand braces off and on for years. I have several and you could say I am a connaisseur after injuring my thumb in college. Right from the start, this brace has a unique feature. There is a sleeve to secure the thumb before you velcro it into place. Awesome idea and it helps the fit. Also the velcro itself is the type that doesn't snag clothing. Considering the brace is going to be on your hand, it with brush against you clothes constantly. I have items I didn't wear because I knew my old brace would shred them. I have blouses with snags on one side from my previous braces which had heavy duty velcro. The fit and design of this brace is wonderful. Believe me, I have ordered lots of braces that were lousy! They didn't fit the curve of my hand, secure my thumb, or feel comfortable as I used my hand. The price is great. This brace is the best. Highly recommend it.

Having to brace my left thumb and wrist due to De Quervain's tenosynovitis and the other three braces I own absolutely eat into my skin and rub it raw in the web space between my thumb and index finger. I was delighted to see that this brace's design completely eliminates contact in that spot! It's incredibly comfortable and even provides more support and stability. I'm a happy girl today. No more having to fashion extra padding with gauze! Thank you, Dr. Finger!

Definitely hard to keep clean but easily washable by hand. Easy to use. A bit bulky. Only irritates my skin if i leave it on too long without letting my skin breathe and fully dry before wearing again. Durable. Stable. Functional. Did relieve my pain some. Not all the way but if i keep wearing, i assume pain will improve.

I tried a few other thumb stabilizers that didn't have a metal splint and they didn't do much to protect me from unintentionally moving my thumb. I decided to pull the trigger on this one and I'm very happy. Regarding sizing, my wrist is almost exactly 8 inches and the S/M fit perfectly well; I suspect that it could still work for slightly larger wrists, too. So, I wouldn't use the 8 inches wrist as a hard number when deciding between sizes.* EDIT *After 6 weeks of use, the velcro is almost useless now. It barely holds and falls off constantly. So, I'm dinging it two stars as a result.

I have a severe condition of Tendinosis. This brace is very comfortable to wear and totally stabilizes my thumb, which movements exacerbate the pain.I can do everything with it including typing and crochet.

Velcro is garbage. It stopped sticking together and doing its job about a week into the wearing of this brace.

I’m wearing this for de Quarvain’s. When I’m not wearing it, there’s lots of pain. When I’m wearing it, I can do any of my normal household activities without pain. I’ve it worn around the clock for 2 days and it’s still comfortable and I haven’t had any issues with it rubbing or chafing.

Brace is well made and provides support to my wrist.
