I mean good luck?
I'll be 100% honest. My cats loved it. They did not really abuse it, I think the toy itself abuses itself with the large vibration thing it does. It lasted all of 3 days and then stopped working. I did get a refund, but still can't think to buy another. I have two Sphynx cats who LOVE activity! They enjoyed it while it lasted. The running away feature is really all I think the ball needs. The vibration thing it does, seems to have just killed it.

Fun for gentle dogs, too!
The media could not be loaded. My dog has had hours of fun with this toy... Literally hours at a time! She has never been good at solo play and always wants me to play with her. So I like getting electronic toys like this that can hopefully help entertain her... Some of them do and some of them don't. For whatever reason, this one definitely does!It moves and bounces around and she loves chasing it, barking at it, and batting at it. I had a little trouble figuring out how to change the modes, so I just leave it on the setting it's on when I turn it on, which seems to switch between the 3 modes. She seems really happy with this. I'm not sure I've ever seen her play with a toy for such a long time! She played so much, she passed out, but every time the ball made a noise (it takes a little time before it goes to sleep mode), she jumped up ready to play again.I obviously wouldn't recommend this toy for dogs that are rough with their toys. My pup is super gentle and plays more like a cat, which is why I thought this one would be OK for her. She mostly chases it and bats it around. I have caught her chewing it a couple times and always stop her as I'm sure she could tear it apart if she really wanted to.If you have a cat or a dog who plays with toys pretty gently, I highly recommend this!

Very impressive but boy is it pricey
This is one of the better cat toys that I have seen. A lot of times the electronic cat toys are a little janky, make loud mechanical noises that scare the cat, or their movements aren't random enough. This little ball has very random movements to it and it doesn't make noises that scare my cat. It reacts very well to hard floors and OK on my average thickness carpet. The recharging capability is a nice change to disposable batteries and it holds charge well. Also, the toy feels very durable. I was impressed. The only negative is the price. $35 is pretty steep for a toy that doesn't function perfectly on carpet. I suppose whether the cost is worth it or not will depend on the owner. If you really need a good solid toy that will distract the cat, this might be the toy for you. Again, it still functions on carpet, just not as well as on hard floors.I got this toy for free and I already knew ahead of time that I would have never purchased this toy on my own because I have the pickiest cat on the planet. I have tried so many expensive and non-expensive toys and all my cat has ever been truly happy with is a string on a stick that a person dangles in front of her.Regarding this ball toy, it almost has her. She has a little bit of interest in it as the movements are more random, like a rodent, but I think it doesn't move fast enough for her. If it moved faster, as if a rodent was trying to escape, she would play with it. I didn't remove the star because of my cat though. I just think that if I had paid $35+ taxes I would have expected it to have functioned as well on carpet as it does on hard floors.

Meh.
Great concept. Didn't roll on carpet like the description portrays. Tried all 3 modes. GREAT on hard floors.

Expensive and misleading
Very expensive for what it says it's for, not for medium to large dogs, they will choke on it, only suitable for cats

Six Kitties Seal of Approval
Every time I turn on the ball, all my cats come running. It's hilarious, all the more so because they've never done that before. After I assembled it, I had an audience. Charlie wasn't sure about the whole business, and when it rolled toward him, he jumped straight up in the air. Word to the wise is to start it the first time in the gentle or passive mode. After that, the normal mode will be a delight. My cats range in age from 3 to 15, and every one of them wants possession of the Cheerble.Unfortunately for the other five, my indoor feral tries to hide it away for her own exclusive use.Molly is a TNR who was spayed at 3 months, and she escaped her crate while she was healing. She never headed for the door, so my other (tame) cats are her colony. I can't get near her, which limits the options for play, but she has taken to this ball as if it's the greatest thing since catnip.Although I gave it 5 stars, I should note the following: one of these balls in the giant size would be great for cleaning up after cat hair. Just roll it around the room and voila! Any fuzz and fur on the floor is on the ball. Fortunately, it comes off easily, so no downside. It is also worthy of note that if your cat absconds with the ball overnight, you will likely need to charge it in the morning. This is easy to do, and it doesn't take long, but it's easier to find the ball when it has a charge. Finally, I had a lot of trouble attaching the lanyard. Pro tip: the easiest way to attach it is to line it up perpendicular to the bottom of the hook, slide it under the hook and lift it straight up.If these balls weren't so expensive, I'd buy one for each cat in the household. As it is, they will just need to share.

Initially played with, lost interest
Okay- to be fair I have indoor cats so perhaps their prey drive isn’t as high as other cats. One is 9 and the other is 2. The nine year old looked at it annoyed. The two year old looked at it and played for about 15 minutes and then lost interest when it didn’t take flight or move faster. We have hardwood floors so the ball could easily roll. I think it was the knocking noises it would make when it bumped into things. The other trick to this is locating it once they are done playing. Since it can move on its own, the ball can easily roll under dressers, beds, and other low furniture. Over all it’s a really good concept and they did okay with it initially. Now, I just have to figure out where it rolled off to.

Not for Large dogs
This was listed as for large dogs, but I would never give it to my dog. She would choke on it. Definitely for a small dog.
