This really works!
Learned of this product from a fellow dog owner. We hike in the woods daily. Wood ticks are easy to spot, but those deer ticks can be soooo tiny. A few swipes with this special mitt catches those little buggers easily. I couldn’t believe the first time I used it…I swept it over my dog’s back and got 6 tiny ticks. They adhere to the mitt’s fabric. It comes with a drawstring bag to put the mitt in and place into your dryer, but I just pick those ticks off and flush them!

Must have for tick season!
TLDR - DON'T HESITATE, you need Tick Mitts! We just moved from Los Angeles (where we had virtually no ticks) to the Hudson Valley where there are SO MANY TICKS. We have two large dogs and I have been so worried about them bringing ticks into the house. They take tick medication but the ticks need to bite for that to kill them. When my husband and I found ticks crawling on us we immediately bought the tick mitt. I was a bit skeptical but they are AMAZING! We did full tick checks on both of our dogs when they came in from a hike and we didn't find any. We then used the mitt all over their bodies and we were shocked to find three VERY tiny ticks attached to the mitt. We definitely wouldn't have seen them otherwise. We use them every time they come inside and feel so much safer. Definitely a must have for tick season!!

Does not grab ticks, just fur
I have a brown/chocolate lab and a yellow/blonde terrier mix. I've followed the instructions after taking the dogs on field walks 6 or so times and we have found no ticks using the mitt. We find the ticks using a fine comb and our eyes/a magnifying glass. The dogs are on a preventative, so any tick that latch on because we can't find them right after the walk will die/fall off the dogs about 24 hours later, and we find their shriveled bodies that way as well. That process is gross and we were hoping for better with the mitt. Disappointed in the mitt, and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it based on experience. Took a long time to arrive and has not found any ticks, just collects the labs chocolate hair. One time we found a tick on the lab that hadn't yet attached, so we rubbed the mit around in circles and also tried grabbing the tick and the mitt didn't get it. My recommendation is to save your cash and time. There is no quick fix for ticks! Oh well!

It works!! Just removed 5 deer ticks from my dog
I was skeptical of this product because some reviews mentioned that it was “useless,” but I was desperate to try anything that could reduce the amount of deer ticks hitching a ride on my dog and into my home.I frequently walk trails with my dog in tick-heavy areas. He has a very deep red coat. Seeing any ticks on him with the naked eye is impossible.Today was particularly warm, so after walking the trail, I decided to give this product a try. My dog is a Poodle with hair instead of fur, so I used the “grabbing” motion (as recommended per the instructions) across his entire body. I gasped as the ticks appeared on the mit! I effortlessly removed five tiny deer ticks from him!People may think this is overpriced, but the peace of mind and added protection it provides are beyond worth it. The mit shape will fit any hand well and makes the removal process effortless. Get it. It works!Pro tip: I found the whole throwing of the glove into the bag and into the dryer to kill the ticks a bit complicated, as I didn’t want to continue to use the glove on my dog with active ticks crawling on it.Before using the glove, set aside a small container or cup with some rubbing alcohol in it. Once a tick appears on the glove, grab it with your free hand (or tweezers), then dip those fingers (or tweezers) into the alcohol and release the tick in the liquid. The alcohol will paralyze the tick so it won’t hold onto your fingers/tweezers, and it will kill the tick fairly quickly. When done, flush the ticks and save the cup/container for future use!

Best on shorter haired dogs
These pick up ticks, especially on our beagle. Does not work quite as well on our long haired border collie but all in all they are helpful with our tick defense.

Tick Catcher
This thing is great. The ticks actually attach to the glove. I was shocked to see ticks that were trying to attach to my dog leave my dog and latch onto the mitt. I highly recommend one for human and pup

Moldy?
I don't want to give this product a bad star rating, because this has nothing to do with the functionality of it... but I took the mitt out of the bag and it was covered in this black mold... will be exchanging for another one and will update my review once I am able to use it.
