12V 1.5A/2A AC Adapter Power Supply Compatible WD Western Digital My Book Essential External Hard Drive HDD Charger Cord-6.6 Ft

This is a very handy thing to have at home. It has all of the common sizes so you always have the connector you need!

I bought an old 1tb WD hard drive from the thrift store, but it came without a power cord. This cable worked perfectly and allowed me to delete some guy's mortgage PDFs from 2009 and make room for my own files.

I purchased this to replace a cord that broke for an external hard drive. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the plug was turned sideways allowing more room for other cords to be plugged into the socket. It is not bulky or blocks the other outlet which so many of these types of cords do. I also was pleased with the three options of the input to make sure that it fits properly. It took the guess work out of hoping that the cord actually would fit and work. I highly recommend this product. It also seems more sturdy than the original one for the drive.

It seems to be functioning so far, only time will tell if it last.

Great replacement for the the AC adapter that came with my WD my book. Works perfectly and you would never be able to tell it was a replacement.

Lost the power cord for my WD external drive and this product replaced the OEM cord as delivered.This product is compatible with WD drive "WDBAAU0010HBK-01" WD Western Digital My Book Essential" Prior to ordering this item, I tried a 120V/0.5A power supply and my WINDOWS 10 device would not recognize the drive. All I got was the fast blink light on the drive and no data transfer. However, upon plugging this item in (using one of the included adapter heads) I was back in business in a flash. Much searching on interwebs basically cooroborated this; (Drive no work without the correct power supply) As added bouns, a few adapters are included and make this cord compatible with other devices that need 120V input with 1.5A out. Fortunately, I had a compatible data transfer (USB to MICRO-B) cable or would have been looking for that too. PRIME actually delivered the package in ~ days. Wow...

This was a replacement cord for one that was damaged. Unfortunately it wasn’t the right one for the drive I have.

Bought this to replace a power supply for an external 500GB Western Digital drive that had its original power supply disappear. It uses a somewhat smaller cylinder shape plug and none of my other random 12v wall wart plugs had the right end. Nice thing with this one is it includes a number of adapters that allow this to be connected to most any standard 12v cylinder plug. So I'll be able to use this on not only the drive I bought it for but also a number of other external drives. I could just keep this in place and change the plug to whatever drive I want to hook up at the moment.
