Walker's Shortbread London Bus Commemorative Tin, All-Butter Shortbread Cookies, 8.8 Oz

Overpriced but too cute to resist, once the 2 bags of minuscule Shortbread Fingers are consumed (which happens pretty fast) you can restock the metal container with maybe 3-4 boxes of the full-sized Shortbread Fingers to use as storage!Actual contents are great, per usual, aside from the fact that the pieces get crushed so they get even smaller.

I bought for my best friend because we are huge Outlander fans. Was fun to read about the origins of the cookies...where they are made and how far back the recipe dates. Made us have a little bit of a real life moment sharing a treat from the beautiful country we have come to appreciate watching the show each week. What can I say about the taste except it was good shortbread.

The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the metal box was a little flimsy. Great shortbread!

I already know these shortbreads are great, we buy them often. Made a gift basket for someone making plans to go to London and included this. They really liked it and said they were going to save the bus container and put it in a bookshelf. Great as a keepsake!

These are so good, my favorite snack by far. Love the tin they came in.

I purchased our favorite Shortbread cookies in the iconic red double decker bus because our family tradition is to always take a hop-on hop-off tour of the city on our first day of vacation. And ANY double decker bus tour in any city reminds us of the London buses !I ordered one for each of my boys to have in their own homes as a fun reminder. The cookies are THE BEST shortbread cookies (“biscuits”) of any others , imho. So that’s a win-win for us ! The bus top is a lid that fits snugly but not tightly, so kiddos could use it to store matchbox cars or crayons or any other group/collection …. And adults can too ! One of my sons has it on his dresser to toss change into & the other has it in his kitchen as the “hidey hole” for his measuring cups & spoons to keep them handy for his bread making/ baking days ;) I keep mine in my kitchen to keep my cookies in, so I always know where the shortbread is 😂
