I use about a quarter teaspoon in my morning tea. It wouldn't work well in beverages, including tea because it has a slight oat flavor, but I drink tea with spices and milk so I don't taste the small amount. It is good for adding extra soluble fiber to baked goods where the oat flavor is acceptable or even wanted. This fiber is good for encouraging helpful bacteria in the colon.

I've been using this product for about six months, in conjunction with a couple of other things, in hopes of lowering my cholesterol. I do think this product is what it says it is, and that it did help - my recent numbers dropped significantly. For that, I am thankful.Unfortunately, I am seriously annoyed annoyed at the moment with XPRS Nutra, as well as Amazon, due to a recent order, which was rancid -- absolutely disgusting smell and taste. I've ordered this product several times and usually it smells about the same as oats. Clearly something wasn't right, and I figured it would be easy to resolve.I tried contacting Amazon, and was told "this product is not returnable." Amazon won't take any responsibility even though it probably went rancid in Amazon's warehouses. Pretty annoying.Next step, let's chat with XPRS, I'm sure it will support its product..? I used the form on the XPRS web site twice; no response. I wrote to the email address on the web site; it bounced. I did a quick bit of research and it turns out that XPRS is a white label company started by a guy who starts Amazon white label companies. (Self described as "Amazon wizard.") There's no real company here at all.So anyway, no refund for me despite faulty product, and no support. The moment I find another, preferably more reputable supplier of this stuff, I'm switching. In the meantime I guess I can grudgingly recommend this product if you need something like this.

I am glad to find beta-glucan from oats rather than from yeasts since oat beta-glucan is water-soluble and mixes well in water while yeast beta-glucan tends to be water-insoluble. I tried adding only 1 scoop provided which is 1/2 serving in 1 cup of hot water and still saw clumps. I contacted the seller I who stated 5g (5,000 mg) beta-glucan in 5g serving which means 100% purity of beta-glucan; this is false info as the back image of the package shows dietary fiber of 2g (not 5g) in 5g serving. For some reason, the seller did not post the info on the back of the package so I am attaching it here for completion and clarity.
