Fit perfectly in my Whirlpool gas oven
I bought two of these igniters, one for the top and one for the bottom of my oven. The top igniter stopped working so I had to replace it. I went ahead and replaced the bottom one as well. It is easy enough to disassemble the top and the bottom igniter. For the top one you have to go in from the back of the stove to get to it, just make sure you close off the gas and don't step on the line as you are back there. I couldn't move my oven out far enough because the gas line was so short, so I had to use a small step stool to climb over the counter and down into the opening that pulling out the stove caused.The wiring itself is a breeze as the plugs fit perfectly and I just had to unplug the old one and snap the new one in its place. The only thing you really need to remember is how everything came apart so that you don't have any screws left over. If you take pictures of how it looked before you took it apart, it'll make it easier when you put it back together again.

Don’t do it- replace this one every 6 months.
Waste of a purchase. This is the 2nd one we ordered. Must reorder ever 6 months. It goes out. And it goes out without notice or issue. One moment it works, the next, it does not. Buy something different.We are not huge oven users. Mainly stove top and crock pot.

Easy to replace
Fixed our gas oven problem of not coming up to temperature for a very reasonable price. I replaced it myself after watching a video.

defective and broken part
We correctly diagnosed the problem with our oven.We correctly installed the partThe oven did not functionWe had to call an appliance repair person. (Who confirmed that we had correctly diagnosed the problem, and that we had correctly installed the part)The problem was that the part was broken. He showed us exactly how it was broken, and asked us if there was any broken material in the package.There was not. Indicating that the part was defective when shipped.So we correctly fixed our oven with a $25 part but because it was defective when shipped, had to pay an appliance repair guy $400 to install the same part.The fact that this company shipped us a broken part cost us an additional $375.00and because it took so long to get someone to look at it. I can't even return the part for a refund.

Direct replacement for my GE oven
I have a GE Profile slide in gas range. The igniter seems to be a direct replacement for the old dysfunctional one. Now I'll see how long it lasts.

it is easy to work on things but how you spend your time is important.
If you can't change this out inside of five minutes...but it will only last about that long. I have two new ones on hand at all times. These things are made out of sand so good luck. They last once if you are lucky so you can eat that night. Then buy another one.
