Vic FIrth - Signature Series Drumsticks - Jojo Mayer - Wood Tip - White

BOTTOM LINE:Superb. I have compared side to side another brand of sticks at a similar price range, maple 5a, but this pair is by a long way lighter, less shock, quicker, and suits the kind of things Mayer fans love to play. Packaging doesn't protect your tip, so the risk is the only downside. That aside, highly recommend and will definitely buy again!!PROS:Weight, feel in hand, low shock transmission to the hands from the hickory, flexibility of play style... Everything is perfect and exactly what I have been looking for. You cannot fault the production quality, especially at this price range. Thank you for making these quality sticks at very affordable prices for us, Vic Firth!CON:Unfortunately, the package arrived where the tip was sticking out of the bag in transit, whereby the tip must have been dented by something and left a big, 2mm gash on the brand new tip (see attached photos). Luckily, I intended to use these on practice pads, so there's zero impediment for my purpose. I give 5 star in spite of this, because this is mostly the fault of the super stressed amazon deliverer, and it is unfair to penalise such a fantastic pair of sticks because of logistical mishaps. Though one may argue the tips should be protected prior to shipping.I will make a point to leave another review when I buy a second pair some months down the line, and update if that pair also gets damaged.

Lovely feel in the hand...slightly shorter than standard 5a,but for me great for lighter gigs...Nice feel!

I usually use Vic Firth 7a or 5a so I gave these a go as I'm a big fan of Mayer. All the feel of a 7 but the 'weight' of a 5. Well balanced, great feel. Just a really nice pair of sticks. Will definitely buy again!

Incredible sticks developed by jojo,like his hands mines are also small which makes this stick perfect for me.I hit hard and play rock and all types of music but these sticks seem to take quite a beating. The jojo Mayer sticks are now my preference along with the 5b classics...if you have smaller hands and are a small build..I would recommend these sticks to you.plus the white coating on the sticks look way cool.:)

Bought these sticks after discovering Jojo Mayer. Great balance, really helped with traditional grip, lots of bounce, and sturdy. Wholly reccomend for the current price.

I like these they feel good shorter than most but that was what I was looking for

Bought for my son who is rather discerning about his sticks. He has found them a good feel and weight. Drumsticks are a personal choice to each drummer and he would have these again.

Tried these sticks once and now I can't stop ordering them! These sticks are truly amazing and are very light and just short off a 5A which is fantastic. Recommend these sticks 100%. Thank you Jojo Mayer!
