JHS PEDALS Mini a/b Box - Guitar Effects Pedal

Very useful gadget.Some uvsers said it alters the amp tone,it all depends on the amplifier, on my Blackstar debut 50 it was perfect,it enabled me to turn the clean channel up more and get a great sound.On my marshall dsl 1 c it didn't make much impact when i turned up the classic channel volume,but the marshall is a high gain amp so that could be the reason.u haven't tried it on my Blackstar with headphones yet but I would imagine it will be an asset in getting good tone a low volume.all in all although it's pricey for what it is I think it's worth the money.

Use it in the effects loop of a Marshall SV20. Perfect for home and for controlling the level at gigs where I just turn it up or down to get the right volume for the venue. Would a reactive load box be better? Probably but I don’t really care in a mix. Sounds good enough to me and allows me to retain responsiveness and tone of the amp.

The buffer is of very good quality and does a great job at resurrecting the missing sparkle at the end of my stupidly big pedal board (16 pedals). You can hear the difference. The active splitter works and sounds way better than any passive solutions I’ve tried.

Excellent bit of kit but if I were to go back in time, I'd buy a cheaper alternative.

Amazing little thing...

Brilliant bit of kit, this has finally allowed me to play my fender pro reverb with the volume pot above 2 (fender valve amp owners will know they go: 1,2,12 normally!) and it's made a huge diffence not only in tone, but in being able to get a louder volume than previously without it being wall shakingly loud!As the middle of the terrace and with a temporary squatter in the spare room the black box has allowed me really enjoy the end of the world in 2020 without upsetting the work from homers either side or upstairs! Would highly recommend to anyone with a valve amp that has an FX loop!

Added to my Mustang GTX50 to make it more useable in a confined space. Works brilliantly! If you have an FX loop and need to control the overall volume then this is the bit of kit to do it.

What a great solution for running a valve amp at higher output. You can really get a driven tone. I was struggling to get my Orange Rocker anywhere near it's potential but now it's singing.A fantastic solution without the expense of a power break.
