Works great so far
We had an older dump trailer with a gas engine / hydro pump setup that was not working properly anymore. I pulled all the old components off, purchased a cargo box from harbor freight and installed this pump and a battery in the cargo box on the nose of the trailer and now the dump trailer is working great again. Seems to have plenty of hydraulic horsepower to lift a 7'x14' trailer loaded down with ease.

Works perfectly with one modification
I purchased this pump to work on a walk behind forklift. I had to install it vertically. While the capacity of oil was plenty for what I needed, I noticed that at the higher range the pump was starting to pull some air. After taking off the reservoir, I noticed that the pick up line was, about 3.5 inches above the bottom of the reservoir. I added a 3 inch (3/8 pipe thread) extension and the pump works perfectly. Just figured this may be some good info for anyone else looking to mount the pump upright.

Not made for USA
I received the pump and was the best part after that thing went down hill. The biggest problem was the out put the fitting that came with I could not find anything that would fit it. and as far as customer service you can only email them. Which I tried to do but to no avail. So it got return today. Also I went to NAPA to try to find an connection fitting.

Works great on my dump truck thus far
This is installed, and I did play around with it a bit. It hasn't really been put through its paces yet, because the truck its attached to isn't running at the moment. I've been sort of restoring an old dump truck with a couple of my cousins, and this definitely got the bed working. I did have to weld my own mounting tabs on there because there's not a good way to mount it out of the box. That's no big deal if you have a welder, but would be problematic if you don't.Installation wasn't all that difficult. If you've ever worked with hydraulics before, you'll have no issues here. We tested this out by dumping some hay bales in the dump bed, and then using this to dump them back out. It managed to lift easily 4,000 pounds of hay. Granted, a lot of that is on the piston, and this one is definitely rated for that. The build quality is generally quite good. The reservoir is metal, and has a drain plug. If it's mounted vertically, it's very easy to drain. The controller is nice, and it's actually magnetic, so you can just stick it wherever. It actually had the correct fittings for the old dump. The only thing I'm not crazy about is how there could be a leak where it's wired in places. I already put some silicone in there to fix that.Overall, I like it thus far. Like I said, I've only played around with it since the truck itself still needs work (it sat in a barn for who knows how long), but playing around did involve some rather heavy hay bales, so I definitely tried it out. It went up fast enough for me. It holds on the up swing. Everything is good thus far.
