This electrical timer will work great outdoors for lights. It doesn't work for what I bought this for, which is for a golf cart charger. My golf cart charger automatically turns off when full charged. You have to unplug it from power for it to turn back on so I bought this for that purpose, to turn the power off and then come back on. It does that but for some reason the charger does not start working. I have to literally unplug it from the golf cart and then plug it back into the golf cart for the charger to start working. I tried a different timer and it does the same thing, so it must have something to do with the golf cart charging system. It works great for lights so I still give it a 5 star. It is easy to use and is well made and is water proof. If you are looking for an outside electrical timer, then I can recommend this one. You will not be disappointed.

Used for night light. Is very easy to set up

Bought it to run our pool pump. The directions were easy to follow and its very easy to use. The round numbered dial is easy to read -white for day, black for night. Just push the buttons down on the times you want it off, buttons up for on. Turn it clockwise once making sure the arrow lines up with the correct time & plug in! Now my pool pump comes on at night when rates are cheaper & shuts off before we leave for work!!I was glad my husband bought it!

Runs well. The instructions were a little confusing but I figured it out.

This timer replaced one that I had to send back because it only worked from dusk to dawn, which isn’t great if you’re trying to run a fountain. I don’t know why other people felt it was hard to set up. I could easily work the little tabs up or down without any problem, and I'm over 70, my hands are a little stiff and I have vision issues! If you want a simple timer that is easy to set up and use, this is it.

Excellent for the price!

I bought this timer some 6 years ago to automatically turn my pool pump and salt chlorinator on to run 10 hours every night. It stayed in the outside elements for the entire duration of that 6 years. The timer feature actually still kept time, but would no longer turn the power on/off. I dismantled it to diagnose the issue which happened to by a micro switch inside that failed. It cost about the same to buy a new unit as it would have for a new switch to repair the old one. I will keep this one inside during the off-season months and hopefully it lasts even longer than the original. I did notice these have a limited lifetime warranty, but I voided that obviously when I dismantled it. Still feel it is worth every bit of what I paid.

Works perfectly in southern humidity weather on my veranda. Everyday it kicks on and off at the hrs I had set it on so it’s not running 24/7 highly recommend! Search You Tube for easy setup.
