A cozy, heartwarming read with swoony romance and small-town charm
A charming small town straight out of Gilmore Girls, quirky townsfolk who feel like Stars Hollow’s finest, and a cozy café at the heart of it all—The Pumpkin Spice Café delivers exactly what you’d expect from a feel-good small-town romance.Laurie Gilmore’s writing is simple, warm, and utterly engaging. This was my first book by her, and I loved how effortlessly she brought Dream Harbour to life. It felt like stepping right into Stars Hollow—town meetings, meddling neighbors, and all! What I Loved:✔️ The perfect Grumpy × Sunshine duo – Logan and Jeanie’s dynamic was adorable, balancing each other out in the best way.✔️ Side characters that steal the show – I’m already invested in their love stories, and I need more!✔️ The ultimate cozy read – The small-town atmosphere was done so well, making this book feel like a warm hug.✔️ Peak Gilmore Girls energy – From the town meetings to the charming chaos, Dream Harbour is basically Stars Hollow 2.0.✔️ Low drama, high charm – Just the right amount of small-town nosiness to keep things fun without unnecessary angst.✔️ A binge-worthy read – I flew through this book in just a day and a half. It’s that engaging! What Held It Back:❌ While I adored the story, some parts felt a bit rushed—especially Logan and Jeanie’s relationship. A little more development would’ve made their romance even stronger.Tropes You’ll Love:🎃 Grumpy × Sunshine☕ Small-Town Romance🎃 Fall Vibes☕ Found Family🎃 Gilmore Girls & Virgin River Vibes☕ Happily Ever AfterIf you’re looking for a cozy, heartwarming read with swoony romance and small-town charm, this book is exactly what you need!

Good read !!
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore cozy, small-town romance with a predictable but comforting storyline. The story of Jeanie, who take over her aunts cafe after her shocking incident at work in Boston which makes her think about life priorities and moves to small town Dream Harbor. Here she meets Logan a young heart broken farmer who provides her supplies for the cafe. Their cute first meeting and their journey to get to know each other is comforting to read. Endings quite predictable and few moments are really good between Annie , Hazel and Logan. Over all the hype is too much about the book. Good read !!

Dream cafe
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore feels like wrapping oneself in a warm blanket on a chilly autumn day. Set in the picturesque small town of Dream Harbor, it’s got everything I expected from a cozy fall romance—quirky townsfolk, heartwarming moments, and pumpkin spice in every corner.Jeanie’s transition from the corporate grind to cafe proprietor is charming and relatable, although her character development seems somewhat stagnant. Logan, in contrast, is distinguished by his emotional depth. His battles with abandonment and subsequent development create an ideal blend of tough and kind-hearted. Their love story may be expected, yet it is very uplifting, offering strong Gilmore Girls (Lorelai and Luke!) feels. The autumn atmosphere is where this book shines. The seasonal treats, café coziness, and community events pulled me into right into Dream Harbor. It’s impossible not to fall in love with the setting—it feels like I was right there, sipping a pumpkin spice latte while leaves fall outside. My only gripes were the pacing, which felt slow at times. But overall, The Pumpkin Spice Cafe delivered exactly what I needed: a charming, cozy break from heavier reads. Overall, it’s a warm, feel-good read perfect for autumn lovers. If you’re looking for something cozy to curl up with, this is it.

Not so much worth the hype
If you’re looking for a cozy warm read this Autumn then look no further.Set in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie moves from the corporate world into what is basically Stars Hollow, desperate for a fresh start, and becomes the new owner of the local coffee shop. There are many similarities to the show Gilmore Girls and if you’re a fan of Lorelai and Luke then you’ll love Jeanie and Logan. It was hard not to compare a lot of the scenes and characters to it.I really enjoyed this book, it was a wonderful escape from the usual books I read and sometimes you just need a book that makes me you feel warm and fuzzy, that’s exactly what this does.My only wish for this book was that the ex isn’t mentioned in every single chapter as that got boring quickly and lost count the amount of times I rolled my eyes at her name.Other than that I rated this 3.5 stars, and will definitely recommend to fellow autumn loving cosy readers. ☺️🧡🍂🎃📖✨
