What every princess needs
Gave this as a gift to my 4 year old niece who dresses as a princess every day. She loved helping her parents make the castle and all of the characters. Some of the waffles got eaten too. Her parents said the waffle maker was easy to use and clean.

We be ought two. Both stopped working immediately
We bought two different waffle wow irons. They both stopped working within two waffles! And we didn’t make waffles often enough to return them in time. Very disappointed. They aren’t cheap! Except for in quality

Family fun while making, and eating, waffles!
My daughter was so excited about this waffle maker. We make waffles almost weekly and the idea of making some fun shapes was very appealing to her. In the end, I actually enjoyed it just as much. As some of the shapes are smaller, it gives you a nice waffle that is crispy on all of the edges. Really made for an enjoyable waffle breakfast experience. I know, it sounds crazy, but the configuration of the shapes really make a good waffle. The waffle make has interchangeable plates for different shapes, so you pop the one out for the other if you want different shapes. This is possibly a little tricky when it is hot, but the release buttons make this fairly straight-forward. Just wear hot mitts.Waffles are great to make and freeze. Having them in different shapes gives your kids something to be creative with…and delicious.

Fun kids activity
The media could not be loaded. My kids loved the idea of having waffles in cool shapes and really wanted this waffle maker. Here are my impressions after using it:1) The Lego mold takes more batter than I expected. If you are going to build a castle and characters, you will probably need 2 boxes of waffle mix.2) This maker is a little slow at cooking the Lego waffles taking approximately 5 minutes per batch.3) Plan on discarding the first batch as it comes out unevenly cooked with uneven colors due to the greasing oil. This is not specific to this waffle maker - they all have this issue.4) You need to be quick filling out all the slots with batter. I recruited the help of two of my children for this. Each of us had a measuring cup (1/2cup, 2/3, 3/4) already filled with batter and ready to go. We filled the slots together quickly but carefully.5) Do not overfill. The batter will expand when cooked.6) The first few times we used it, the machine made a strange (almost burnt plastic) smell. The instructions specify this is normal and the odor should go away.7) The green LED at the top will turn on when the waffles are cooked. This is a handy feature. Unfortunately there is no dial to configure this to turn on earlier if you want your waffles less cooked.8) It would have been great if the manufacturer included a traditional waffle mold! This would be very handy if you just want to make a normal waffle.9) Changing the mold from the Lego to characters would be a safety challenge while the maker is hot. You’d probably need to turn it off, wait until it cools down, and then swap the molds.10) The lego pieces did fit together like real building blocks. In short, I think this is more of a kids activity waffle than a practical normal use waffle. To use for fun, plan on spending a couple of hours or more preparing and cooking a lot of batter. You’d then need time to build your castle. So do this after you had your breakfast:-)
