The media could not be loaded. I was a bit nervous at first replacing a key lock with smart lock.The installation process wasn't as straightforward for me because the holes for the brackets didn't quite line up so a little drilling was required. Luckily I had all the tools and bits needed for this.Took me around an hour to install.Got it all up and running and have been using it now for around three weeks without an issue.I would recommend adding the same fingerprint multiple times as this helps with recognition.All in all, I'm very happy with the door lock so far. The batteries seem to last and I've had no problems using fingerprint, fob, code or remote unlock from my phone (WiFi bridge is required for this).

I had been waiting for the weather to improve so I could get this lock and fit it. I wanted the double sided lock, so not many options out there, but the Simpled lock ticked all the boxes.the fitting was a little fiddly but OK. I had to use the extension cable and wasnt sure if the extra length could be accomodated on the rear under the rear cover or somewhere in between. Glad to say there is enough space under the rear cover to accomodate the extra length.The fun started when I fired up the App to started the set up process. The front lock was not playing ball but was able to do fingerprint scans on the rear. Also could not pair the tags on the front or see any options for passcodes.This was all happening on saturday late afternoon. Messaged Simpled via the website explaining the issues I was having. To their credit they responded early Monday morning. The explanation was that the double sided lock is actually two separate locks and both have to be added to the App and set up separatey. That made sense but I wouldnt have guessed it. Lock was all set up monday afternoon. Once the front lock was added to the App, the fingerprints could be scanned and tags paired.So very happy with the lock. Its a nice bit of kit and good quality as it should be for the money.However, I am slightly disappointed with the instructions, especially as Simpled is a British company and not some Chinese brand. The booklet starts with system initialisation instructions without any explanation of why this might be necessay. Its the sort of instructions one might find in an appendix at the end of the booklet. And crucially There was no mention that the double sided lock is in fact two separate locks and you have to add both to the App and set them up separately. This is really important. Just a separate sheet in the box highlighting this would have been really useful. I wonder how many people have been caught out by this!!!

Fitted the Simpled double lock today it is robust and works very well. It was not for me a straight swap over and I had to do a little tinkering, but not much. When you see the array of screws and fixings it can seem very daunting however, this is just due to the number of different sized fittings Simpled provide to ensure that you have the best possible fit. Fitting the lock may require some simple DIY skills ,but don’t be put off by this. When fitted it is an excellent lock and works very well, I am delighted with it. The set up of the various fobs was simplicity its self and very quick to do.Nice to see an up and coming UK company developing this tech so well.

Unfortunately this handle is made to fit a 85pz euro cylinder whereas the standard UK size is 92pz so had to return item

Self installed, after contacting the technical support for a initialization problem, all things solved and the product works great.

Easy to use and had no problems fitting my UK door.

As the title says, there's Great, Good and Bad.First the Good, the lock.It looks good and feels sturdy when first opening the box. In fact, it's packed so nicely it could give any new smart phone a run for its money. And the reason for buying the lock, was to ensure it can be locked from both sides, not just the outside, like most other smart locks. Plus the flexibility of the various ways to unlock it from the outside, finger print, key fob, code number or key (I think I've forgotten some options)The Great part.A few weeks installation I encountered an issue with the lock (it was still fully operationally), but putting it politely, it really annoyed me. I contacted Simpled and after a short email exchange over two days, everything was resolved. Which far exceed my expectations. And I'm now almost glad that I had an issue with the lock, as I know now how good they Customer Service is at supporting their products.Now unfortunately, the Bad part.The instructions, they are bad with a capital B! I've installed a few different makes of smart locks, so I was confident I knew roughly what to do, how wrong was I. Before installing the lock on the door, I'd sort of put it together on a worktop, but the instructions just didn't make sense in places, and other steps seem to be in the wrong order and with some details missing.Simpled says installation is about thirty minutes, but it took me almost a whole day, which includes an hour drilling extra holes in a steel door which obviously most people won't have to do.But even once the lock was installed, the problems with the instructions didn't stop there. I couldn't get the internal lock to work with the finger prints I wanted. It turns out from Google searches I wasn't the only person to have this issue. Apparently the inside and outside locks are totally separate from each other and need to be setup in the app as two different locks. It would have been nice if it had mentioned that in the instructions.Overall I'm very pleased with the Simpled Double-Side lock. Would I buy a Simpled lock again, yes. Would I recommend Simpled to others, yes and I have done already.It would be 5 out of 5, if it wasn't for the instructions!
