Excellent charcoal capsules I'm never without charcoal in our house. They are great to have for tummy upsets and discomfort.

Purchased these as I know the brand is a good quality. They are easy to swallow and don’t have any taste to them and great value for money.I purchased these as I heard charcoal is good for upset stomachs and I am about to travel to Bali so I’m currently taking 1 a day to get it into my system along with probiotics.I’m editing this review due to finding out it interferes with the contraceptive pill so if you are taking that bare this in minding when taking activated charcoal.

Healthspan are a great brand, I know and love their products, and have used various products from them over recent years. All nutritional support and supplements.The quality of these activated charcoal capsules is no different in quality to all their other great products. They come in a flat pack packet so can be posted through the letterbox easily if you're out, which is handy.I tried these after a friend, and my doctor, recommended them. They appear to be mildly beneficial, but if you have ongoing issues, don't forget to go and see your doctor.Great quality, easy to swallow, recommended.

Didn't doctors at one time prescribe eating burnt toast as a way to 'purify the blood' because of the charcoal content? Even if they didn't the natural remedy of Charcoal as a way to remove toxins and reduce wind goes back a long way and for a reason. These capsules come from Healthspan so the quality should be unquestionable and they arrive in the standard plastic blister-pack which is hardly eco-friendly but does keep each capsule untainted and fresh.You're advised to take 3 before and 3 after a meal to reduce flatulence but I only tried that quantity one time and felt it was a bit overkill, they're beneficial taken in smaller doses too. Flatulence isn't a major problem of mine but a churning gurgling stomach sometimes is and these seem to help with that too and taking them daily for about a week has evened things out and put things on an even keel. There seem to be benefits that last after you stop taking them too and my digestive system seems more content these days - and if it starts to grumble again I've got some left in the pack.

Activated Charcoal is a great ingredient and it can be super helpful for gut related issues. I would usually have it if I am having stomach discomfort and it is super useful when travelling. It's a natural way to absorb things that are toxic to your body.If you look it up you will see that the Zanzibar Red Colobus Monkeys will also consume charcoal in the wild which help them with their diet especially when eating things that could cause digestive discomfort.If you have never tried charcoal it is worth having and when travelling especially to places where food hygiene may not be great or higher chances of food poisoning then Charcoal can be immensely useful.This brand has charcoal made from coconut and it appears to be of good quality. Depending on your needs you may need to take up to 6 capsules which would provide you 2 grams. They recommend three before meals and three after. There aren't any side effects with this but be aware that since it absorbs stuff then it would also absorb nutrients and reduce the efficacy of any other supplements you are having so don't have it together with other supplements.
